So has much As I would love to post pic's I'm not going to lol. Yet atleast.

in the plans is trying to find a intercooler/radiator yada that is like 4 or 5'' shorter on the driver side. Only way the CRD SFA can truly flex. All I am going to say

darn been over a year since I have updated this.

Well since I rolled my jeep last Nov(2011) and with some family problems with my GF we have not done anything to her jeep other than move into into a storage unit. With my process of trying to rebuild my jeep and a few things with the new car plus job I have been to darn busy for anything.

I'll update again soon.

What did you ending up using for the steering box? Did I see somewhere it was an Astrovan RWD? If so what year?

Thanks, Great looking CRD

So an update....

Its for Sale... Lady is tired of the project sitting, and no time to put towards actually finishing the thing

Yep another that thinks a SFA swap is easy and just gives up by making excuses that they have no time.

You dont have to be so negative, some people dont have a check coming from the VA to pay for their SFA swap nor have all the time off like others do. Who cares if its not finished, its not your money or time.

Edited:

I decided to reword my comment back to you. I thought about it and didn't want to stoop that low to meet your stupidity.

So my answer to you is, we built this on our own with help of a friend and a very small budget. And yes one shop that was interested in trying something different that I had to give them advice on what to do. Not everyone had a pro builder and deep pockets.

So, we have moved on in a different direction in life and that is the only reason the swap is not 100% complete

It is a tough swap to do. At the time we were the only ones swapping the CRD and had to come up with different boxes and ways to mount certain items. The only ones who had completed the swap were Tj and Rock lizard, but it was always a fight to get anything out of them.

But you know what for doing this swap during college on a small budget I think we did pretty good. The time has come to move on in life. Between a house, her new jk and me getting into cars the liberty just isn't in our list of toys to do anymore.

I'm glad other people on this forum have seen what a Negative Nelly "tjkj2002" is. Always with the negative comments. Forum Troll? Seems that way, huh?

If you think Troy's negative here - you should read him over at CRD land - always grumpy

but in terms of SFA - Troy's works.

scroll through this section and a dozen other folks have tried it - fewer finished.

and most of those that did finish - sold as soon as they could.

to JeepBumm68 - if you were trying to talk to Rock Lizard about SFA - that's the wrong guy - may have been his shop - but he was taking notes.

tjkj was looking at parts and pieces he needed for his swap before Marty started working on KJ's.

if I was in Colorado - I'd be bugging him about all things KJ - because he know more about them- even if he's grumpy about diesels.

So just a big update for everyone...As of two weeks ago the new owner has taken possession of the CRD. He drove it 1000 miles back home with zero issues.

There are a few things that still need to be buttoned up on it, but we have heard a lot of compliments on how we built it.
