Humm I heard that it was coming last summer but looks like Marty finally got it together. Wonder if he figured out the CRD issues yet?

If he would ever help us out with the final touches he would have a solid platform of a CRD to do the little reworks to for his kit lol,.

Nice!

He also updated the front bumper/rear bumper pages!

Quote:
Last chance to order our Heavy Duty and Light Duty rear bumpers for the rest of 2012. We are expanding our shop and working on developing and producing our new products, so we are cutting back on our rear bumper production for awhile to play catch up on building our new products that have been long overdue in development, such as our new front bumpers, skid plates, roof racks and of course our bolt on Solid Front Axle kit

Looks like next year he could be in full swing again!

I have been back and forth with him lately by e-mail and he will be back in full swing here very shortly. So let's welcome back the rock lizard.

So let's see, that's about $10K for a full kit assuming you want to keep your stock transfer case. Maybe $8K for a pair of built axles with lockers? Another $9K for a clean 2002 -- 2005 KJ from a non-rusty state. Costs of wheels and tires don't count. Starting from nothing it seems one could have a very sweet setup for $30K. My Gawd that almost MAKES SENSE!!

But how would I convince my wife it's her idea?

I got ahold of him via e-mail and he says he has a little help around the shop. Since I already bought an ARB he was willing to take my front bumper payment and start a rear bumper

He is also now within driving distance, but I will be moving in LESS THAN two months so gotta get crackin!

That's wayyy too much.
You can buy a tj and swap in d44s front and rear with arb or ox lockers, regear, and put 37s on it with a 4.5" long arm kit for less than that.

Most TJ's are severly overpriced, you'd have a hard time finding a clean TJ for under $10,000(which is a major ripoff in it's self) unless it has 150k+ miles on it already. If your buying new D44's that's about $8000,add lockers and that's another $1500+,and a good long arm kit(complete) is about $2000+.No way to buy and built your TJ for less then $10k.

Gotta remember most KJ's are now paid off so cost of buying a new vehicle.

Plus who wants a TJ that looks like everyone else at the mall? :ROTFL:
Build a KJ and you won't see a red one just like yours at every stop light

Ain't that the truth.Plus from all the Wranglers I've driven(well over 100+,CJ's,YJ's,TJ's,and JK's) they all ride like do-do lifted or stock.

The one thing I told Marty was if my KJ ended up riding like a Wrangler I was knock him out, well he's just fine cause it rides 1000000% better then any Wrangler I've ever driven.
