They still bash it. Is that picture of the XJ and KJ totally deceiving? The XJ looks yards longer than the KJ but in reality the KJ is longer. |

The spec length includes the spare tire, so the XJ actually has a longer body. I have to say - as much as I like the SFA liberty, it looks a little bit goofy up that high compared to the XJ, especially in that photo. |

i've seen this in person, it's tight. He did a great job. And they can knock it all they want cuz he wheels it and it does great. Nothing like being orignal and that's what they are jelious of. |

Wow, those are some serious rags on our KJ from those XJ guys...talkin about how they are "purests?" That is BS! Remember when the XJ came out and everyone was acting the same way when our KJs came out. But with time and lots of wheelin, the XJ is now a respectable 4X with plenty of goodies for it. Give it time guys, give it time! |

Those XJ people must be kids. They can't remember when the XJ replaced the "real" cherokee in '84. If they think that the renualt-wired, 2.8L "powered" POS wasn't a bigger change (for the worse)than the KJ to XJ, they are on dope. How about those great "in the bellhousing" slave cyl. rigs they made for years? Or the D35 behind a 6cyl ( when it doesn't even belong behind a 3 cyl.)? Sure, the IFS D30 is a weak link. But frankly, no D30 is great. I'd call a D30/8.25 KJ a wash over a D30/D35 XJ. DOn't forget the "white-wall ready" tires most XJ's came with. I'll bet stock-vs-stock, the KJ is as good as the XJ. REAL Cherokee(360V8/t18/d20/d44-d44/ NO LIFT): http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b316/ ... erside.jpg That oughta boil some XJ blood. I know there are good XJ people out there. They may even be the majority of XJ owners. But XJ owners seem to be the biggest group of jeep snobs, who like only their model, of any group of jeepers that I run into. |

Thanks, USAFcop. I hope to do a lot of 'wheeling in that this summer. Finding a FSJ before it disappears from oxidation is a real challange around here. Finding the granny t18 4spd was almost impossible, so I had to grab this one when I saw it. These shots show the 33" trxus M/T's a little better. http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b316/ ... erside.jpg http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b316/ ... rontal.jpg They fit on there with no lift and no rubbing. Disregard the bumper/lights/grill. That has all been changed, thankfully. |
