I know you've heard it before, but soon. :JEEPIN: My ORI's have not shipped yet probably because I changed my order to all 14" struts. I just ordered 16 Metalcloak Duroflex Joints for the 4links. their lead time is 2 to 2.5 weeks. I need to gather some more 1/4" & 3/16s plate along with some other metal for the bellypan. Im searching the net for a 1 stop shop on brackets and tabs. Please speak up if you have any suggestions,,, Trust me I want to get started.... :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: shooter

I got a surprise today when I opened the box. I was expecting weld bungs and found ORI Struts :ROTFL: Jokes on me :SOMBRERO: Guess I'll have to find a way to mount them up too.. so its time to get with the program...Should be able to pick up the 2" DOM on Wednesday. Bungs should be here this week also Joints maybe 10 days. the front axle is striped and ready for brackets and truss. Need to do the rear. Picked up 4x6 piece of 1/4" plate, 4x8 piece of 3/16 and 4x8 of 1/8 plate for what ever. Got to remember to get everything done with the Jeep before the tare down like get the tpm sensors out of the stock wheels. I need the trailer to do that. The 37's just dont fit in mama's Honda. :goink: I checked the wheel sensors yesterday, I had an extra front sensor and it plugged right into the JK wheel barring :pepper: Hope it works right. :5SHOTS: Im still torn in going with radius arms or just extend the links to make it a true 4 link front. :juggle: Still not sure where to get brackets--HELP :banghead: I'm having a brain fight. shooter

This is what I have been told and read and one of the reasons why I picked these for my build. I am gathering parts daily, and as soon as the MetalCloak Joints show up the CRD will be disasembled.. :ROTFL: :SOMBRERO:

Try ballistic fab for all your brackets and tabs all of thier work i have seen in person is flawless and pricing isnt that bad either. What are you using for steering?

I ordered most of my brackets from Barnes4wd. All 1/4" or 3/8" brackets and shipping is always $15.00. Ballistic is good stuff, they need to work on a better shipping rate with someone. I'm using Redneck Ram Assist Steering with a Bronco 2 gear box. Picked up 2- 18' pieces of 2" DOM 1/4 wall for the links front and rear. Using an Artec JK4420 truss on the rear for the upper links. It wont be much longer... I'll start postin some pic's...

Started a little something today. Disassembled the front axle completely, removing the locker, shafts, seals, then cleaned. Drilled 1/4" pilot holes then 1/2" holes for the sleeve kit. Then another cleaning. Arc welding is new to me Im used to my old 110V Mig. The new Hobart did the trick using 7018 3/32 rods. I have decided to do this SFA myself. I am broken and slow but will not give up.. Here a few pics of the sleeve kit.Image/url]Image/url]Image/url]Image/url]Image/url]Image/url]Image/url]Image/url]Image/url]

Wow. You ended up going with 14" ORIs? What made you change your mind? Those suckers are going to be looong.

Due to the fact that I am going with a D60 front and rear, I ended up going with 12" in front and 8" in the back (good 4"+ of difference in the back since the strut mounts will be on top of the axle instead of the stock strut mounts that are much lower on the stock 8.25 rear.

After reading and talking to people, seeing pictures lots of pictures, I decided to go with 12 in the front and 14 in the rear. Then I changed my mind to 14 & 14 because of the wheel base and length of links and drive shafts. I do want to stretch the wheel base but I'm not sure how much I can get a way with. With the front having somewhere in the range 11.5 to 13" of flex before the drive angles get to sever. The rear is a little more forgiving in the flex. You might get 13+ inches. I may need limit straps. thats ok by me. I would seriously think you would want more then 8" of movement in your rear axle..bshooter

The 241 Roctrac is used from a pull yard in OK. 26,000mi on it. I wanted the 4 to1 ratio. Our stock 242 slect tract is 2.73 to 1. I'll give it a good going over next week. The rear truss from Artec showed up today. Been practicing arc welding with some 6011 1/8 rods for some stronger welds and I recon I be doing that tomorrow tooooo. :banghead: Its on next week  :-)r :CAMPING:
