What did you do? Never seen so many electrical issues but then again mine and USAFCOP's builds required no "on vehicle" welding.

Hobart says when I joined 2 pieces of mettle together some time during the build their must have been a gap when I arced off when starting a weld joint and the ground was lost traveling through the jeep trying to find its arc.. They said it is very un common but dose happen. Lucky Me :dead:  I have talked to menu people about this and no one has an answer…but Hobart.. The transmission shop will put it on the scanner tomorrow and hopefully take me out of my misery. :furious: My horn and cruse control docent work either. I think I found most of the other stuff but the Limp mode really pisses me off :5SHOTS: :5SHOTS: :5SHOTS: Dam computers. :ROTFL: :ROTFL: :ROTFL: :frankie: Do yo have any guesses Please...

Horn and cruise control is most likely the clock spring since both went out at the same time, pricey sucker and don't buy used.

If you really arc'd it that bad expect to be tracing problems for a long time.If you must weld on a vehicle always use one of these.

WoW, I sure would have like to known about that right from the start… The battery and the computer were removed the whole time during welding and were sitting on a shelf on the other side of the garage. The man at hobart said to use pig tail grounding on all pieces of metal being joined and surround the area being welded if in doubt. Thanks for posting that thingamabob on Amazon, consider it mine :5SHOTS: Have any Idea about Limp Mode and no transmission codes coming up on a GDE scanner/programer?

I should be getting my New TCM from GDE next week :pepper: :seuss: I should be running then. I hope to have the rock sliders done and an engine skid built also. I plain to cut down the SkidRow and use it by adding 2- 13/4 bars on top of the front triangulated links, "I got a plain" :ROTFL: :ROTFL: :ROTFL: :ROTFL: :dizzy: :JEEPIN: almost their. Not sure how much I should trim down the front bumper?? But it needs a few inches cut off before hitting the trails. Tomarrow is another day :CAMPING: :CAMPING:

Thanks, SKK. I'm have the JD Squared TN-100. Its a very good notcher, very well made. The next step up would be the Notchmaster. If i were to buy another notcher it would be the Notchmaster. The Notchmaster will do more then the TN-100. That being said - both use the same drill mandril and is very smooth. The TN-100 in stock form will not notch the side of a pipe. By adding a spacer and longer bolts I was able to do just that. Its all about learning how to use the tool. :dizzy: :JEEPIN: I will post another picture of the side notching I'm talking about..

I like the fresh take on the sliders. Are you going to add another tube with the side saddle notches (between the outer tube and pinchweld tube) to help slide along rocks?

No, The one 1.75 tube that is side notched is what holds the weight of the jeep along the inside of the pinch weld allowing the the bent to cross under and rise to the outside tube. These sliders are made with 120 wall 1.75 DOM and I am trying to keep the weight to a minimum. After using them and see a need to add more it can be done :juggle: [urlImageImage/url]Image/url]Image/url]

Finally getting around to finishing the drivers side. After the passenger side is on the holes through the floor will be drilled for the vertical mounting. These critters have taken some time to make :frankie: Image/url][urlImage[urlImage[urlImage

In case anyone is wondering how I stuffed the 14" ORI Struts up in the engine compartment, Heres a few pics.. I do plain to Install an electric fan and a radiator and intercooler when one or the other fails in the future. Then that nasty expansion tank on the firewall can get thrown in the trash :goink: Still working on some other stuff. The Battery is in the rear now.
