Might as well just do the swap now,one member knows all to well that the 3.7 and NOS don't mix and why no one makes a supercharger for it either. They once did but found out quick it will not handle the boost due to the location of the piston rings on the pistons.

Been a busy week and all we got done was mounting one of our beadlocks and took inventory of our Yukon axle parts that arrived.

Going to mock up my steering parts and make room for 16" travel coilovers. Pulled the rear flares and bumper cover and currently figuring how big our rear wheel house openings will need to be. It'll be like tubing a drag car!

It's been almost a month since there has been a update so I am thinking one of two things happen. One the guy has not had anytime to make an update or the build has has stopped due to ran out of funds for the build

It says he has been online so maybe the shop has him working on things to make them money. I am becoming sceptical if this will ever really happen or if we have been hoodwinked.

No, you have not been hoodwinked. Yes our shop has been busy and I am the Jeep guy, the diesel guy, the go to guy and I'm pulled in every direction. However, the owner walked through last week and was concerned that no progress had been made on his Liberty. We have our May off road day coming on the eleventh and it has to be a roller by then. Will post pics soon, the cutting has begun again.

Ok, I got a little done. Got the rear upper control arm mocked up and the lowers laid out. Also started bending up the front frame work. Still waiting on shocks, should be here this week.

I really can't wait to see this thing finished! it was all going pretty quick then just stopped and I got upset, but now it's nice to see you haven't slowed down when you got back to it.

Just out of curiosity why are you going with a tri-link setup as opposed to a 4 link?

The reason we have chose a wishbone upper is for a couple reasons. We wanted to keep the fuel tank because it's there, it won't spill fuel if inverted, and the computer likes it. We also decided to use the existing link mounts...which would have put the left upper right through the fuel tank.
We have also chose a Dana 60 for the rear instead of the Dana 70 that is still referenced in the topic header. The D70 only gave us the option of a Detroit locker and a 5.13 gear set. I couldn't go one more ratio lower than 5.38 and I wanted a spool for the rear. We sourced a 60 from an E-250 Ford van. It has huge 3.5" tubes and big spindles that accept 35 spline axles without boring.

Image
If you look close you can see the fuel tank to the left.

That makes perfect sense now I forgot about the KK's tank being over there, I would pop off the existing link mounts and plate the frame where they mount it's pretty thin and I would imagine you will be tearing them off if you don't. When we did my KJ we plated the entire uni-frame from the front bumper to just behind the rear arm mounts to add some rigidity to the chassis and make for some solid mounting locations for arms and armor.
