Ok almost everyone knows my past story and all the money i threw away with RK and their lift. I will not be defeated and my KJ will work. I will begin work for a front solid axle and any info or hints from anyone will be appreciated and Im sure with everyones help in about a month we will finish this challenge here is what I think of doing starting next week. The front axle will be dana 44 from a wagoneer it has the exact length of the KJ. The steering box will be a reinforced one from a chevrolet with a 6" pitman arm. Rubicon express 6" front springs and 4 24" rancho 9000 springs up front. And i will put detroit Tru Tracks Lockers. All youre opinions will help now Im really experimenting and all youre help will be appreciated. Thanks |

If you're going to go all out like that then why not just get ARBs instead of TruTracs? Other than that my only suggestion is to be sure to do lots of reenforcing of the structure around the front suspension. The last thing you want is for something up there to twist or bend. Good luck! |

you may want to try a pitman arm closer to the stock length of the waggy to start out with. on cherokees and tjs the dpa often causes bump steer instead of fixing it. im not sure what length the waggy came with stock i know alot of this will be dependant on the actual steering geometry once you get the axle under it. good luck. looking forward to seeing it completed (as i am sure you are as well) |

I think you can make coilovers work easier. I just don't know the best method for mounting the steering box and routing the steering shaft. I agree with reinforcing the front. You definitely want to give S&N Fab a call and visit their website. Some where on there is a link to 4-5 pages of pics on their build. It is very insightful. The Rock Krawler rear setup should be more than fine. I know Rusty's has spring retainers which you might want to install. I seem to recall you or someone else stating that their is so much flex in the rear that the springs actually pop off. |

Fireblad: I talked to S&N Fab about getting an axle built. They said that they would be more than willing to actually build me one from a new Dana 44 with a coilover setup. They never responded to the estimated price for ths job but then again Im not pushing very hard (due to the lack of funds  ). Give them a call/email and see what they can do for you.

IF you have to ask you probably can't afford it...... I'm not even going to think about it yet as I know I sure can't afford it.

When we was all talking about the superlift lib i called them to inquire about the bumber...Guy at AEV never called me back and was always unavailable......Superlift told me that they were working on a solid axle conversion so you may want to call them. |

If All-J's and Superlift are both coming out with a SFA conversion, it may not be that expensive! YEY for competition. Allthough, I would probably go with the All-J one just because everything I have bought from them I have really liked (and I was high centered on one of there parts today, lol) |

You will probably need to aim a little higher. 
Depending on what is included in the kit and what you can source on your own the cost will be variable. Jeff, Gonna SFA the wife's mall crawler? 
I am really curious to see how many KJ owners are actually going to purchase an SFA kit. and how many are just going to
