It was posted on another jeep forum I frequent. Looks like RockJock D60's, 37" Krawlers, RockTrac TCase, TrailReady Beadlocks, etc. [/img]

That is the same one that was done up w/ the fancy boulder looking paint job. It was on the show circuit, Sema, Off Road Expo, etc. during 04. I believe it was also for sale a while back on ebay. |

It is commonly called the "detroit locker SFA KJ" Someone bought it, took it out to Moab, and broke it. I believe a bunch of guys on the Rubicon Owners Forum know the new owner. |

It was nowhere near finished in that pic and after all was said and done it was a pretty nice, well built KJ. That said, Wallys new SFA KJ is way better at least in the suspension dept. Now if Wally just had those 60's! |

Nice details on the rollcage on m0th's link. If I were investing that much time, I'd take the rollcage up to the A pillars too though. It would take some interior fab work, but it'd be worth it. And...did they REMOVE the passenger-side dash-mount OS handle? Or were there years and/or models of the Liberty that didn't have that? |

Thats a sport cage...I wouldent trust that with my life. No triangulation at all and it looks like it could hold up the tail end but not the front. |

The "OS" handle didn't show up until '04 |

Same here Richard. Roll with that and the only thing crushed would be the driver's compartment. I wouldn't spend the time/bucks for a 'cage and not protect...duhhh....ME! I was stuck in traffic the other day and I started mapping out how much of the A pillar plastic would have to be gutted to hide a 'cage pillar in there. Might have to do some drawings on that. PCTim wrote: The "OS" handle didn't show up until '04 No S?! Brady, that sounds like a good idea. I dont think you could sucessfully hide it though. The DOM tubing is too big to go behind the plastic. PCTim, I have an 02 sport with the "OS" handles on it. Im pretty sure ALL KJ's come with the OS handles. My aunt's KJ (In France) had the OS handles too. |

Yea, I realized it'd be too big to hide behind the plastic, so I was thinking about how to replicate the interior design into the 'cage A-pillar. I'll show you what I mean when you come down for the install party. A clarification: Not sure which one everyone else is talking about, but the OS handle that I'm referring to is the one above the glove box, not the ones on the A-pillars. Mine has it...
That one doesn't...
Don't get me wrong, I'd trade my dash OS handle for the SFA, even though I love the dash OS handle. It's not THAT cool. Richard, does your truck have the dash OS handle? |

I think he's talking about the one over the glove box. I have yet to see one on a KJ from 02 or 03. The a pillar grab handles have been standard through all the years. |

If anyone wants to trade a tan interior dash piece W/out OS handle (02-03) for the OS handle from an 04, I might do that. My wife is always hitting here knees on it when getting in and out of her KJ. Dang her long legs! |

My sport did not come with the golve box grab handle. I know that you can get it from Mopar though. I have been thinking about doing that since my Mag-Lite is in the way of everyones knees. |

Too bad your interior is grey Richard. Otherwise you could trade with John. Anyone know if you can color die these dash panels??? Probably not... |

Yep, just talking about the one on the dash. It's also where the airbag light is mounted (the one that tells you if it is on or not). |

At one point I looked into adding one to my KJ and when I went to the parts counter at my dealer they had to look at the exploded diagram of the dash panel of an 04 to get the part number. They also compared the exploded diagram to that of an 03 and they said that it might not just bolt up because the dash underneath the plastic appeared to have different mounting holes and such. They told me they would sell me the part for like $75 but if it didn't fit, they wouldn't accept a return. It seemed a bit expensive for something mostly cosmetic. |
