For those interested and near the Cordova-Wolfchase Mall area... On Thursday July 20, 2006 (3rd Thursday of the month) the SONIC on Germantown Rd by Cordova Bowling Alley and the old K-mart, and across from the new Flying Saucer Pub will be having an Auto Show. It's usually a throw-back car show for all the old cars to come out to the drive-in diner sort of speak but it has really picked up with the younger gen of drivers and their rides too. It's quite a mix of Desotos, Chevy Big Blocks, Buick Grand Nationals, Dodge Vipers, Ferrari 308s, Ford Mustangs, Hot Rods, Imports, and even 4x4 Trucks. So if anyone is interested in meeting up there with their rig whether it be outfitted or not it starts usually around 5pm and goes into the night until the last car leaves or the SONIC closes. By the way this happens every 3rd Thursday of the month lasting from March-October and only if the weather is good, so pray for no rain like we've been having. yeah i should be able to make it. One of my friends is coming home next week maybe and I gotta spend some time with her before I go on vacation next weekend, so i dunno when that's gonna be, but I'm betting I'll be able to make it. Oh yeah, and I got your msg the other day, I saw you honk, and I fixed the wobble problem. I had a bunch of mud clumped on one side of the wheels and it was basically making the wheel balance weight pointless. |

AHHHHH...that would be a good thing wouldn't it....well cars start showing up around 4 or way earlier....i get off work at 5 but it is a 10 minute drive, if that, from work to that Sonic so i should be there by 5:15...the parking lot will fill quick if it is cloudy like it is now all day...by the way parking goes quick too...usually all the mustangs get a section together and the Buick GNs get a section together and all the hot/street rods usually stick to the drive-in area...should be fun though...hope you can make it..cars usually stay all night till Sonic closes or just before if the crowd is good enough...bring some mosquito repellent too if you want...they could be irritating... |

hey guys, glad everyone made it. Although it was 10,000 degrees out there, it was still fun, and there was quite an impressive array of cars there. Bootsers, glad to finally meet you and your husband. And Scott, man, your KJ was the talk of the town at the show. I mean, it definitely was NOT the C6 Z06 right next to you...haha |

yea well what can i say...lol...man that guy was a --------, but anyway it was grreat to meet Vicki and the family...Renny and CJ-5 Renny were great to see...hopefully we'll see you again for some riding on trails instead of an asphalt parking lot looking at other cars...but timw will tell....hope the little one didn;t cause too much trouble on the way home..lol...again it was great meeting everyone....don't forget now...every 3rd Thursday of the month there is this car show if you are interested in making it a monthly thing perhaps...laters |

AUGUST 17, 2006 will be the next Sonic Meet-n-Greet judging by my calendar...let's hope there is decent weather that day so lots more cars will show up like last time...hopefully more Jeeps too..

Just like the above POST states...This Thursday August 17 is the 3rd Thursday of the month for those of you in the area that want to show-up at the Sonic on Germantown Pkwy in Cordova for a Meet-n-Greet. Cars usually start showing up around 4pm but as seen last time we were there the heat made them show up a little later then that. I might spin by home after work but should be at the Sonic no later then 5:45pm. I'll probably park in the lot between the Sonic and the bank at the opposite end of the strip mall area. I like to see all the hot rods and rat rods pull into the Sonic as I'm sure they would of back in the 40s and 50s. Hope to see some of yall out there...LATERS!!! |

I'll grab moms digital camera and snap some pics for everyone....I know i have some 35mm prints already in a scrap book from a few years back...i'll try and scan those too and share as well....now i'm off work so I get to go now...laters |
