Hwy 87,south of I10 Holley area
Can't get a pass the day of,but I'm thinking I might be there a day early to get everyones passes if I can swing it.
Definately can join in"southern lost trip without J.T.?Come on now"
Bring the wife and both jeeps.Perty sure she'll have more fun behind the wheel.I'll probably be the only one not lifted,so she'll have no problem with a lifted KJ.

Do you know the name of the hotel? Where/when would we be meeting up at anyway?

My FJ buddy, Harry, said the local FJ Cruiser group is going Oct 11-12. I assume all are welcome.
But regardless, they have a lot of good info as far as locations, hotels, passes...
Also, as you go down the page you will see about 3 links to past pictures. This will give those of you
who have never been an idea of the terrain.

Of course, they are showing the more exciting pictures. I have only been once but was running stock
suspension and tires at the time and was fine for what I wanted to try. For those who are wanting to get
crazy, as the pictures show, Eglin has that to offer also.

Looks like a blast. Hope this helps some of you.

Oh, and you might also notice that they are open half the day on Saturday so Jason and any others should be able to get passes
on Saturday!

looked to me like they were going down some stuff I would want to go up

I am hoping to bribe some one else to pick up a pass for me if they can
sounds like it will be just me and the TJ so I may camp ,if my neck is doing ok at the time

Hope this in not a problem. If my cousin can get off of work that friday, mabe we'll go tidy up some of the trails.
If not,well.......SCREEEEEECH

Assuming this shin-dig is going to start up Saturday morning...??
Has there been a meeting place and time established?

I'm excited already!

Me too!

Guess it depends on where you guys'll be coming from 10 or 98,either way there are about 4 or 5 Tom Thumbs along the way.Time?guess that'll have to be flexable.Anyone have input to a meeting time?

I may be using I-10, but I might be coming in by 98. It all depends on some things falling into place. We don't have any Tom Thumb's. Are they gas stations? It would be kind of nice if we could all meet for breakfast somewhere sort of an ice breaker. It's a little over 400 miles for me and I can fix it to be there at any time as long as I know far enough in advance.

Fulltimer, Tom Thumb is a chain of gas stations but I think you have a geat idea of meeting for breakfast. I don't
know the area that well so hopefully Bub or Hood knows of something halfway near by.

As far as time to meet, as long as all stays sane in my life, I should be able to make it at whatever time. I'll let Hood
chime in with a time since he was the original one who posted the ride.

He will probably have to find out what time the base opens for trail riding and open time for a place to eat also. That would be nice to know for a meeting time. If I don't get my coffee right away I'm not a nice guy.

hey guys

Sorry its been a while since I've posted up some info. I am very flexible, if there are any conflicts with someones schedule I would like to try and resolve them.
I think mid-morning (8-10) would be a good time to meet up, and I liked fulltimer's suggestion about some meet-greet time over breakfast, plus i love to eat. however I have only traveled over to eglin once. I know there are plenty of places south of there, like Ft. Walton Beach, but I hate to make everyone drive that far. If anyone knows a spot, or does some google earth recon about a place to eat/meet/greet let us know!

And just to know here is our list of wheelers
definite
1) Hood297 & TJ/XJ/? friends
2) OneOneNiner
3) Shaggyislanddude & FJ friend
4) Jason Thompson
5) Fulltimer
6) Rutdggr

correct?

If I can get Kelly to officially commit, I'll need one for her.
I'll let you know.

BTW, CRD died this morning. See the CRD area for more.
I hope it doesn't die in Eglin... I would be screwed.
I must have jinxed myself by reading all the problems 'others'
were having with their CRD's.
