I've noticed that Louisiana is packed full of crd members.
Here are the ones I've seen on here:INPO
1)OneOneNiner
2)Kntrygurl
3)Shaggyislandstud
4)Liberty2.8
5)Linewarbr
6)Mcinfantry
This is a nice rapsheet,we really need to have a meet and greet one day.Whose game?

If there are any other Southern CRD's(not just Luziana)Let's hear from ya,and for those on the list chime in and let us know how your rigs are treating you.

Great idea Bub. I'm in for a meet.
Just met Linewarbr/Darren the other day. Real nice guy and I was able to take a SEGR off his hands!
As far as my CRD, it's all swell. Looking forward to trying out my lift and tires at Eglin!

Next..... (-;

Count me in. It was a pleasure meeting you, Shaggy/ Scott. Any luck on the SEGR install? Unfortunately I won't make Eglin. I have to work on 7/3.

I just now logged on because I'm trying to figure out how to get to the bottom bolts of my ECU to get it out and send it to Green Diesel Engineering.

McInfantry PM'ed me the other day, too, and I've posted back and forth with liberty2.8. Never met Kntrygurl, so I'm all in. I need to get one of the Southern L.O.S.T. stickers, too. That looked real nice in yer back window, Scott.

I think it's cool that 5 of 6 of the Louisiana L.O.S.T. members are CRD owners - unless Kntrygurl is one too. Then we're 100% compression, mon frere!

Finally got the ECU off, after many inside air-conditioned breaks to avoid getting too hot and bothered and doing something stupid.

The bottom bolts on that thing are a pain because there is a wire bundle that passes in front of them, blocking access. You have to lift up firmly and steadily on the bundle, and a retainer will pop out of the fender, allowing you enough clearance to get the socket head under the bundle and access the bolts. Even then you have to have just the right spacer on the wrench to clear the width of the bundle. Took a while of figuring - thus the A/C and Heineken rather than brute strength.

Wasn't able to mail off the ECU on Sat - FedEx and UPS don't ship to P.O. Boxes, and by the time I discovered that the post office was closed. Will visit the Post Office in the morning and send it off. Should have it back in Wednesday night, then.

I will be out of town in Kinder, LA (intersection of Hwy 190 and Hwy 165 in SW LA) this weekend, and will miss Eglin next weekend, but I am looking forward to meeting other CRD' ers here in LA. Bub, I understand you own a little piece of wheelin' country somewhere. . . . ?

Kinder is just 22 miles from Dry Creek, home of Kntrygurl. You should look her up and talk diesel.I believe she modded up her lil tractor.

Yea LW,I've got a nice piece in Mt.Hermon,LA.Diamond in the ruff.I'll definately be having some LOST camping trips once it cools down, and we can work on the off-road trails.

Liberty2.8 reigns from Slidell. Not much in the form of trails around here but do manage to do some exploration in offroad areas when possible 8) Thought about the Eglin trek but no lift or recovery points yet and don't want to trash it. Mostly daily driver and also to tow and launch my boat in some not-so-good launches. Good to know that others are around.

My previous toy was an '03 F350 Long Bed Crew Cab Lariat, straight piped and catless with Edge Evolution, 4 inch exhaust in front of rear tire. It rocked but too expensive to drive last year when diesel was nearly $5/gal. 38 gal tank cost nearly $180 to fill up.

 Ha!!! I had never heard that term before so when the guy mumbled something about 'willcall', I said "oh, so it's not in stock but you will call when it is???" He says "no it is here in 'willcall'." I ask if you can pick it up anytime and he says yes, and tells me again that it is in 'willcall'. I start to explain that I am not familiar with that term... But then I just thank him and move on.
Besides my ignorance to that term, the transaction was very smooth and easy!
Thanks again Bub for the tip, picking up the PV. See you Saturday!!!!

Maybe it's a New Orleans thing. I know I have been to games in the N.O. Arena and ordered tickets in advance. They told me to come to the "Will Call" window to pick tickets up. Just don't go out to Arizona to Burger King and tell them you want a Whopper dressed. They don't have a clue what "dressed" means. I got some funny looks

Has anybody ever changed out their exhaust? If it is not too much of a racket, I think I may want to straight-pipe it here in the near future.

Man I wish I could, but my wife and I will be on the bank of the Calcasieu River for a family gathering in Kinder this weekend. I do want to hit that trail by your house though for sure; I can count on one hand the number of times I've had this thing in 4wd. Hehhhh.

2.8, when you put on the straight pipe, did you gut the cat as well?

Gutted first and then left flange unbolted to get a feel for what it would sound like with out muffler. Then went to muffler shop and had them cut out muffler and replace with straight pipe. Not really that loud and kittyless got rid of that nasty eye-burning exhaust smell. Now it smells like a diesel. Go here for some discussion about cat gutting and putrid stench form exhaust : http://www.lostjeeps.com/forum/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?t=36521&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0
Eurekaboy has a good site with his experiences experimenting with different exhaust options including sound clips:
http://liberty.eurekaboy.com/magnaflow.htm

I have thought about the side exit straight pipe in front of rear tire like was mentioned in his site. 8)
