I have a small Weber that I can bring, and a big round one I can fit in the back of the KJ if needed. All charcoal though, baby - I don't use gas.

Hey if we have a for sure head count, I'll volunteer to marinate and cook some ribeyes Friday night. In fact, I'll be off all day and can start cooking early if needed. Holla!

So I need to pick up 5 ribeyes for next Friday night? Bill, Bub, Shag, Kelly, me - anybody else I'm forgetting?

I usually go for a thick cut, between 14 and 16 oz. Let's see, I'll have to pick them up Thursday evening with a nice lager for a marinade base. . . . and all the stuff for the basting/ cooking sauce and some hickory for smokey smoke on the coals. . . I love to show off my steak-grilling ability!

I'm getting hungry already :pepper:

Baton Rouge, LA - about 11 hours or so from you. We've got places for you to stay if you feel like coming. I just need to know ahead of time so I can pick up another steak for you.

Shags, I found this link in the tech section if you want to check it out and get an idea of what we'll be doing. Dude even did it on a CRD Ltd, I think, so it's applicable to you!

That's the link that I went off of.I've got it all printed out from my snork install.
You'll need some polyurethane based roof flashing sealant.I've got the armaflex tape for the ruff edges.Mabe pick up a roll of blue masking tape.
Were gonna go a different route to plug the hole.Few plumbing parts will make a nicer result.

Can't Wait!!!

I just bought a Dremel tool today to install my tow hooks, if it'll help with smoothing some edges on the snork install. Man that thing is awesome!!

I started out just to cut the slots in my bumper for the hooks, and ended up trimming the whole air dam off!! What came over me?  :5SHOTS:

Looks bent down or loose!!

It's not loose, trust me. Those are Bub's old hooks. When I installed them, I noticed that the passenger-side hook bracket didn't seem to fit flush against the frame. Maybe it was used previously for a recovery that bent it out of true? Anyway I just tightened them as tight as I dared and let it be.

Those are some nice looking hooks there.
Wonder what totally cool dude gave you those. :SOMBRERO:

As for the hook...hey Bill, remember pulling me out of this

Notice what hook yer straps is on.
When I installed the bumper, the frame was all twerked up.

Hey bill, any chance you got a pic of me being winched out by your dad in the rock garden creek?Wondering what hook he was pulling me out from. That was probably what did it.
MAJOR STRAIN!!!

That, as Paul Harvey would say, is the rest of the story. . . . :dizzy:

Thx again for the hooks Bub. I knew I needed to have them on when you saw me next, or I might never hear the end of it. . .

Looking forward to Friday, and Darren-Special grilled ribeyes!

Excellent link LW! I had not seen that one. It does confirm what I had gathered... A big PITA! Makes me even happier to have help and experienced help at that.
I think we'll get it done in 4 hours like CRDSTU. :goink: :ROTFL:

Looks like y'all have been busy in here. Dude, I have been down and since Thursday night with some crazy stomach bug. Sucks. My BNL and gf came to visit and Kelly got to entertain while I lay in the bed. I'm coming around now. Good thing this wasn't next weekend!!!
