DANG IT ALL!!!

All J's doesn't have the OME 790's in stock till next Tuesday or Wednesday, which means it wouldn't get to BTR till the 8th. Bummer.

What about the 12th?

12/13 no possible way

OK, attempting the three-pointer. . . .

June 26th?

Dang it, I knew I shoulda called All J's last week and went ahead with it. Worrying about that $125 core charge cost me three weeks.

One thing though, I'm going to check on the lift that JBA sells.

125 bucks for the core you say....

When you talk to them again, can you ask if there is a statue of limitations on returning the core.I might be interrested in 125 bucks.

Yeah, their website says 30 days. Heather is supposed to call me Tuesday to confirm that they got their order in. I can have it 2nd-day air - if I'm willing to pay $200 MORE for shipping (regular shipping is $101.xx)

So, $1345 for the kit + $300 shipping second-day air = $1645 minus $125 for the core charge. On JBA's website, their adjust-a-strut lift would run me about $1800.

Waiting on a call back from Merlin about availability of his kit and pricing for LOST members. The adjustability appeals to me, since I can drop it when I'm on-road, and raise it when I'm off-road - and when I add my Detours Backbone and Boulder Bars, I just dial up a little more rebound on the progressive-rate struts and *voila*. Diggerfreek says he loves his on-road, but hasn't really tested it off-road yet.

Get the Frank II at regular shipping rate.Save :2cents:

Don't get the adjusta lift for lowering capability, the lift will lower on it's own.
CRD's settle real quick. You'll be surprised.

If it was what and what, I'd go with the Frankie because it is tried and true, especially on CRD's. But I'm interested in what Merlin has to say - no one seems to know much about his lift.

And I don't think I can "lower" it per se, it should be a minimum of 2" of lift. But I can dial it up as I add stuff, and as they settle. If money was no object, I think Merlin would be a rich man with all the stuff he offers for the KJ.

Got more info from Marlin today, and I am very interested in his lift.

If I order Jeepin By Al's lift, I can get it before the 5th. If I go with the Frankenlift, I can't get it till June 8th, which pushes us back to, I think, the 26th?

Here are a couple of links about JBA's lift - what do you think of it? The first is general info and the second has details about parts included.

Leaning towards the JBA now, been getting some good feedback on it. Price premium over the Frankie is not so much that I'm unwilling. At this point, I think the only way I won't go with it is if someone talks me out of it.

If everyone else is down for the fifth, let's do this!

The coilover setup is sweet but the price is kinda high if you ask me. Idk if you can get different coils, whether marlin makes them or an aftermarket supplier, but idk if you will ever want to change them. Its cool you can adjust them to whatever height but it doesn't negate the fact that if there is to much weight on lighter duty coils they will be more compressed and sag quicker, especially on a crd. Just a thought. I have em and they are sweet though. Would I buy them again? Pry not, because of the price, but there isn't another lift out currently that gives as much as I want.

Btw I would be there to help if it wasn't 4.5 hours away.

He has coils specifically for the CRD. More $$$, but I think I will be happy.

Bilsteins all around, baby!

Yep. I was hitting him up for everything - LOST lifetime member discount, core charge, whatever I could do.

Marlin asked me if I had ever installed something like this, and I told him no, but someone who has installed a Frankenlift is going to help me. He said, "He is going to be impressed with how easy this will be to install."

Neat thing too, his kit replaces my stock clevis on both sides.
