No update. I found out I have to go to Disaster Relief Training on the 10th. I forgot about hurricane season already being here. :(
Me and the wife will be gone to Gainsville. I wish I could go riding, I've been wanting to show off the new jeep. I will be planning a ride later in June before Steve gets his jeep so fixed up we can't ride with him. :D

Can't we make a special rule, like Steve has to keep it in 2WD, or has to drive backwards or something? He's already bored with our sand dunes and KJs, next thing ya know good ol' camper will be relocating to Utah...

I think driving with one hand and with one foot. (makes in harder to shift) Then limited use of 4 wheel drive. That should make it tough enough. :)

I say we make him take one of his wheels off, that seem very fair. I say we hijack Moab and bring it to FL, FL needs real rock anyways, I dont think concrete is considered rock.

or at least access to some trails that don't have a fence and a sign saying "coming soon- blah blah Comdominiums, now accepting down payments"

well guys I have to say im a trader now... I think FL offically sucks and the trails are poop. I just got back from louisisana and holy crap, its worth the 10 hour drive to meet up with the guys out there and ride their trails. they hand built them and they are awsome. Im still up for the walk in the park around here this weekend though. Anyone else want to ride?

GO SEE THE PICS

gayden, I left the front hitch with rick....we can get together when you get over your recent trip....I'll probablly be out of town on father's day weekend june 17-18....

I'm afraid I'm all talk and little action so far....I've picked up the d44 rear end and put it in the garage....I have to purchase the locker switch harness and air compressor....I ordered the lift kit and other "round one" parts....when they arrive, I'lll try to schedule some time in july to install everything....so far, the little things I've fixed require removing sheet metal screws that attach to cheap clip-on speed nuts.....every other one has been rusted and I have to cut the sheet metal screw....I went to napa and bought a bag of replacement nuts and screws....to a large degree, I think the market value of the used wranglers is in their demand...otherwise mine is put together pretty simply....

until I get the lift on, I have to run the street tires....I guess I better get a tire plug kit if I go with you guys anywhere....I now have tow points front and rear and will have my cb radio installed one night this week....I'm waiting on a safari style bikini top to arrive so I can take the hard top off for weekend enjoyment....

I'm not at all disappointed in the wrangler but I can list several things I miss about the KJ....saturday morning, I was parked next to "kick-it" rick and I felt inadequate.....once I get some of my changes made, I'll be much more satisfied....

well unless more people add riding areas then its going to be Ocala. Id like to go riding south of here like where you guys live but nobody seems to want to ride down there or show us where to go. Id be up for anything really, but for now its looking like maybe sunday for me and ricky unless there are just tons of ppl suddenly wanting to go on saturday to ocala. I have a pretty secluded lake that nobody goes to that we might go kayaking on and fishing and there is some nice trails around there.

I'm sitting at work going on hour 13 (ot). There really arent any (legal) places down where i live taht I'm aware of. I've been scouting some places near me in hillsborough county and hernando but so far havent found anything. I'll keep ya'll posted on what i find if anything. Only thing we have where I live is the beach. If anyone wanted to do a beach day i have a waverunner I take out. Otherwise I'll keep looking for stuff here and keeping driving up there when I can.

How did you guys do overthere in Clearwater with Alberto? We got some much needed rain, virtually no puddles, it soaked right up.

We got lots of rain and 5-6 foot seas which was great on the waverunner. Otherwise nothing noteworthy.
