I put this out a while back and there was a good bit of interest. I'm going to start a new post so we can start looking at dates. I figure the sooner we plan, the more people can attend. I figure we ought to plan a trash clean-up ride when it's cooler out. I was out riding today and it was so hot I didn’t even think about getting out of the jeep. So, that means sometime around Nov. or Dec. I know getting close to the holidays can make it tough so we might even try Jan. What do you guys think?? Is there still enough interest in doing a ride like this??

Wes

I'd definitely be interested in doing this ride on some weekend in the cooler monthes. Just wish I was closer, its over a two hour drive from where I live.

I would consider doing this but I have never driven my jeep off road. How technical are the trails?

EASY TRAIL RIDE.......I'll most likely be towing a small trailer for trash bags. We may go some places that you would need to use 4-low if you want to play, but other than that you could easily go anywhere we'll go in 4-high.

Wes

Also, those guys coming from far away may want to check into camping. There are several nice campgrounds around Ocala National Forest.

Just caught the post about a cleanup ride in Ocala. I would be in if we do it. I would suggest camping overnight for those who wish too. I can advise on some great spots. My other suggestion would be to do it in Jan or Feb as the weather is cooler and hunting season is over so we dont have to contend with lots of dog hunters and traffic on the trails. I will volunteer to cook a huge pot of chili or stew for all those who attend. The trails in the area I hang out at, range from easy ( sandy- bumpy) to medium hills and sugar sand, there are two sand pits for those that want to test out your KJs climbing ability and a really nasty pond with mudhole for the super brave. Let me know at least a month prior- Thanks

Well I'm waiting until closer to Jan or Feb. to though out some dates. I figured the end of November or beginning of December would be a good time to pick a date. We should make it a big meet for all LOST folks. We havn't really had a trail ride since first one months ago. Anyways, keep thinking and planning. I'm open to suggestions on locations. I believe Ocala National Forest would be the best place to meet in Florida. If someone has some different ideas speak up!!

Im all for Ocala! Like I stated I know many good trails there and a great campsite for those who want to stay. I can lead the trail ride to a sand pit for anyone who wants to test their four wheel drive and the trails are easy for the newbies. The offer to provide food for the group still stands and Im a decent cook, no food poisoning here! There will be lots of trash from the dog hunters and it would be great to get the Fla chapter organized and on the map! As far as I can tell there are only 6 of us. Okay Im a smart a-- but Cmon! I work 3 jobs and still find time to check my email and posts once in awhile! The group thing only works if WE all make it work! Lets get out and have some fun and do something besides sit and watch the outdoors on the Discovery channel! That is what you all bought JEEPS for AINT IT!!!????
