Hey has anyone ever been ticketed by the polie for driving with just there fog lamp on? I do it all the time in traffic and my wife says im gonna get a ticket. I do drive with full headlights in darker areas but I get brited back all the time by oncoming drivers. |

I don't have fog lights on my liberty, but I got a ticket in my wrangler for only having on the parking lights, it was right as the sun was going down, no need for lowbeams yet. But I believe you can get a ticket for driving like that. |

I guess I qualify to answer this one. I wouldn't ticket someone for it but I have seen FHP ticket some one for driving with only there fog light. I'm answering this from my phone and I don't have my statue book with me. Just from memory I believe that Florida law states that the headlights must illuminate 100 feet from the front of the vehicle. I personally wouldn't risk getting a ticket from a trooper for driving with just my fog lights, so I always use my headlights. Most city cops like me don't have the time to mess with that. Unfortunatly some traffic laws come down to interpretation by the officer and the local judges. I would recommend using your headlights so that you have all available light to help you drive safely and to avoid the trouble and hassel of a traffic stop or ticket. Hope this helps. Wes |
