Dog welcome, my two dogs will stay in the crate just because they like to run away. I don't think my two dogs like living here.

I think Steve was running a Truetrac in the front and a powertrax in the rear. I'm not to sure about installing the Truetrac in the front. I've read that the stress on the front is a little much and I'm not sure we'll have time to install the front. It will require a complete tear down and setup of the front ring gear.

The rear is not an issue. The powertrax no-slip is easy to install without removing ring gear. Also if I'm not mistaken your jeep has the Full-Time option on the transfer case. The front Truetrac with the powertrax rear will make that the fulltime setting over work the transfer case.

If you want to lock the front I would wait and save up for an ARB air locker. That would give you the best setup. It's tough to drive around with a locked frontend. (even though the truetrac is a limited slip I sure it would effect your steering a little) Even off road with my front locked on my Rubicon I can't turn. If you want the BEST setup I would save up for the ARB front and rear. That would give you the best all around setup. It will allow your ESP to work normal, no increased tire wear, no stress untill you lock it, and would not affect you on road driving or MPG. After having several lockers I would tell you to save up for the ARB setup. The only locker I've ever driven on long trips and not had any side effects is the air lockers in my Rubicon.

Not to discourage you from putting the powertrax in the rear. It's a great little locker, and the best option for a limited budget. BUT I would leave the front alone until you get an ARB. And with the traction control your jeep has already, I'm pretty sure it will go anywhere you want with the powertrax in the rear. I ran just the powertrax in my Liberty and crawled any where I wanted to at Tellico.

Those look great Bryan. Are you getting the rims also? I think that the lift and those tires will look great on the KJ and you'll have clearance for some good flex. The guy that is selling you them must have a Rubi'.[imweb/2601000-2601999/2601309_1.jpgg][/img]

yup getting the rims and tires...$650 out the door. They were on e-bay, the place selling them is a rim and tire shop, so somebody with a rubi must have gotten a new set and left these...lucky me!!! They will look awesome though, and give good traction amd clearance. I think I'm going to get a total of 3.0 to 3.5 inches of lift.

I got them in there alright. Made the trip without the spare to make sure I had room and mounted the 5th in its place. I should be fine getting it all there. Charlie may have to sit on the roof though

I'm glad i got that setup too wes. I was sweating a bit looking at the prices of new tires, where to get them and which ones. One of these MT/Rs is chewed up kinda bad on the outer edge. Looks like fender rubbing. I complained a bit and said it was unsafe to use so they took $50 bucks off. hahahaha $600 for 5 moabs and MT/Rs!!!!!!!!!! can't beat that price

man i'm pissing my pants!!!! just about 7 days. I'm so excited i left the new rims/tire on the spare...it looks awesome on the back, gives such an aggressive look!!!!!!! I can't wait. Next weekend is gonna be a blast. Nothing like a bunch of enthusiasts working on their rigs. I can't wait to take measurements for lift. Can't wait to see how it handle off road as well, i'm gonna beat that hill on RR grade (even though it has been taken down a bit).

Wes, I know you may be against it, but i ordered 4 rear spring isolators and am going to pick up conduit washers to do more lift in the front and rear just like science_guys write up. I really like the look of the higher lift like the franken, and would like to get it done all at once. If I run into contact or ball joint problems...oops, loooks like i gotta buy more stuff :D

They fit, but we can only go wheeling if we go straight, otherwise they rub. But I think they look great on there, and love that hummmmmmmmmmm.

Wow, What a difference those tires and wheels make. I get the impression that your just a little excited. With the lift they will look =great. Oh by the way I just found out that the east side of SR 19 is off limits for offroading. I was told that its a $500.00 fine if you are caught by Forestry if your off of the numbered roads. From what I was told it's still OK to ride west of SR19. OOPPSSS

Oh geeze, they shut down one whole side of the forest. Well I shouldn't be surprised, I bet the garbage dumped out there in the past few year would fill several dumps.

excited...a bit!. but i was more bored on saturday, and one tire to see if it fit turned into all 4.

What a shame about them shutting down that side of the forest. These stupid people trashing the land ruin it for the rest of us. we should really have a clean up soon so they don't shut down the rest!
