Here is a few pictures from the trip. The Red Liberty is Lesley. She had no offroad experience but did really well for a 17 year old. Her Liberty is completly stock with stock tires. That long climb is no joke. The lifted Toyota Tacoma that followed her up broke a front axle trying to get to the top. Mudtrac's Liberty CRD did some good mudding also. Terry lost a part of his roof rack mount making the long climb, but the part was found and reattached before the trips end.

BTW, how does a vehicle break an axle trying to climb a hill?

He started to lose some traction at the very top and gased it. At the same time he gased it his front end lifted and landed hard on a rock causing it to stress the CV axle. It snapped, but it also had the extra stress of the 35's turning on it.

At least he was able to put 35s on it. Given the same circumstances a KJ might have exploded the front diff :shock:

Looks like fun, lots of mud and GREEN! :D
