We are in the process of setting up a trail ride on the 4th. of July weekend. This ride would be on Eglin Air Force Base. The base covers 724 square miles with about 580 square miles open to the public. Last years ride (long weekend) covered maybe 10% of it. There is water, mud, hills and deep washouts. The purpose of this announcement is so people can make FIRM plans to attend with lots of room to spare. Details will be posted as they get decided on. If it goes as last years ride did there will be plenty of space for camping. Motels are not too far away either. Terry |

But I'm in a stock height CRD. Would I need to install hooks upfront? Can I make the run with stock height and Destination A/T tires? |

I don't think stock height would be a problem. I'm going with stock height. I would be more concerned with skid plates and good A/T tires. Tow hooks would help also just incase. |

I have a full set of Mopar skids, from oil pan to fuel tank, and Destination A/T's. Tow package in back for recovery, but no hooks up front. Still have the removable sections of the bumper in place. On the bright side, though, it's a good excuse to get an ARB bumper. . . |

With the tires and skids you should be OK ... If need we can find a place to hook on to the front to tow. Also tow hooks aren't that expensive and YES now you have an excuse to get an ARB bumper. |

If you don't get front hooks,I'll surely give you a reason to get an ARB when you get stuck. You can have my old ones, you'll just have to hunt down those cheap clips that hold them in. |

Hell, just driving to Florida is fun enough, the mud is an added bonus. And as far as driving to Cali to get the install Shaggyislandboy got his installed in BR for 400 bucks.I did mine, took a whole day. |

The camping spot we used the last time is out also. The area is going to be used by the owners. There is a protruding sand bar that can be used as a camping spot though. I was out there last year and it is a very nice spot! One thing we all had better think about though is, should we come up with another date? Terry |

How about the weekend AFTER the 4th of July? The 10-12 ... The Panhandle is going to be a zoo 4th of July weekend. If we do it the weekend after everything will be a little calmer. |
