The Georgia LOST guys are having a ride along the Flint River in Albany June 22nd. and 23rd. There are some really nice sand dunes to play on, mud and some short climbs. The area covers a decent amount of land and is a lot of fun. Bring bug spray! You can camp along the river free but if the skeeters are bad I would suggest camping at a motel! If you are interested please let it be known so plans can be made better. Terry |

I am not sure why I suggested a date during the week??? I guess that I looked at the calendar wrong. I hate to change things but can everyone still make it if we change to the 27th and 28th of June? I am sorry for trying to reschedule. If this is not a good date just let me know. We can stay in touch and make it happen. |

The 27th. & 28th. would be better because that would be Sat. & Sunday. Fine with me. Let me know if I should change the date on the subject field for sure. Terry |

Actually, it looks like since a number of folks have already committed to the original dates, we are going to suggest sticking to the original dates of June, 22nd and 23rd. See http://www.lostjeeps.com/forum/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?t=43424 |

Yeah, it seems most people don't have a problem with Monday and Tuesday (22 & 23) ... I've already posted it on some local Jeep/Off-roading boards in hopes to get some other people to show up also. |

I don't know about a "good turn out" (I think there are going to be 4-5 of us), but I know we will have a good time!!! I have been beating the bushes here, but the Mon-Tue choice (and it being right after Father's Day) definitely has limited participation, I'm sure.... |

Yes, I have a portable. A Cobra Road Trip Hand-Held: http://www.amazon.com/Cobra-HH-Compact-Handheld-Radio/dp/B000069DOV/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1244637928&sr=1-1 It is good but not great. I know a lot of folks who swear by their Cobra 75 WX STs: http://www.amazon.com/Cobra-75-WX-Radio-Mic/dp/B002BF74CE/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=sporting-goods&qid=1244638069&sr=1-2 They require a little more installation, but are supposed to be great units, and you can remove the hand unit when you leave the vehicle easily so there is less chance of theft. |

All gentlemen adventurers should have a CB in their rig. |

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... tsupported Looks like an adaptation of the Cobra 75. Don't know anything about it but it looks interesting. Note that the Ebay ad does say "Refurbished" so the unit is not actually new. |

Yeah, it still has a 1 year Midland warranty with it ... For $77 and free shipping, I don't think you can beat it. I started a topic in the electronics section about Portable CB's ... |
