I was looking at a Topo map of the area up north of Palatka and spotted a lot of trails. So I met up with two guys from the Matanzas Jeep Club here in Saint Augustine to go check them out. I also spotted some trails marked "Jeep Trail" over close to Gainsville. It was decided we would check them out instead because they were marked as Jeep Trails. We found them and spent about 3 hours playing around. We didn't even cover all the trails. Typical Florida trails, flat and muddy.

On the one trail there was a good sized water hole in it. The lead Wrangler went through on the left side but it was real deep. Over his lifted bumper! I was next so I thought I would go in the other side. Bad mistake! There was a submerged stump. I got hung up on it and water started coming in around the door. They got a line on me and pulled me out and when I opened the door water just poured out! Front and back on the drivers side. All in all it was a lot of fun and we had a good time. We will go back again soon.

Here are some pics!

With temps in the mid 80's and a fan on high it is all dry. That area with all the Spanish Moss was down by a river. It was really pretty there....and lots of biting bugs!

Awesome.

Looks like a lot of fun, even with getting stuck. I have been strapped out of water, but yours was in deeper than mine when I was stuck and pulled out. Still fun though.

You need to carry a set of hip waders like I do....haha

What am I gonna do with you Bub? How many times on here have you heard "Don't go riding by YOURSELF"? Especially a flatlander in the mountains of TN!
