It's far and I'v done it once and you pretty much get the jist after the first time. The oppressive rules such as getting ticketed for mud on your rig were kind of a turn off. My favorite places to wheel in FL was Hard Rock (although small) and those WMA's in Miami, WPB (Corbett) and just south of Tampa. The one south of Tampa I've been to several times and in my opinion, is the best wheeling in the state.

During my 2008 sentence in FL I went wheeling every weekend and never could get any LOST peeps to come along so I was the only KJ but I digress.....

Really? Never been bothered there and I've been a few times. Always got muddy too.
Haven't been to hardrock yet. Plan on going once I get my tranny skid. Don't care if I have mall crawler tires. I'll still give 'er hell. :D

I have never heard of anyone being harassed in Ocala. I always manage to get muddy too. I went there today for about 4 hours, going again Sunday. On the 27th. the Matanzas Jeep Club here in Saint Augustine, is going to Hard Rock. But I know what you mean about getting people to hit the trails. We just don't have many members in FL. If it wasn't for my locale Jeep Club I would never have anyone to ride with. Exceptions are granted to Budke!

Myself, I don't care much for Hard Rock or any other off road park. After about a 1/2 hour you have seen and done it all. Then it's just do it over and over again. Boring.

Terry

Yeah, there really is no one in Fl to wheel with other than the mud bog guys. But mud bogs are kinda borings. Just mindless throttling through mud. Same old thing. lol
Terry, if you never told me about the Matanzas club I'd probably still be riding around on a stupid little wimp trail in my neighborhood. lol

Hey Bub, he thinks he is an expert on Florida! Just for the record nobody said it didn't happen. I'm sure anyone getting nailed had it coming too. I have put a lot of miles in Ocala and I know people that have been going there for years. No problems.

Terry

Is there a yearly pass for Ocala?
I'll be there sooner or later. :pepper:
