How bad is the smell coming off the Gulf? My friends dad used to work for Gulf down in Louisiana, was telling me his friends that still live there they are beyond disbelief at how bad it is.

And not to start anything, rumor has it that BP has not told the whole story of how this happened. (hear say from former Gulf employees that know the buisness)

There was some oil balls washed ashore either in the Keys or on the tip of Florida proper. The balls were sent off to a lab somewhere by the state and tested. They were not from the Gulf spill. It's just a matter of time now because satellite photos show the oil hitting the Gulf Stream now.

Just a little info: the Gulf Stream is the fastest stream in any of the oceans. It follows a 3,000' deep valley around the tip of Florida and up the east coast of the state. Somewhere south of here, I think around Daytona Beach, the valley and the Gulf Stream turns away from the shore. That should protect the northern part of Florida. At least I hope it does!

I really feel sorry for LA. The whole country is going to feel sorry for LA too, when prices start going up on sea food from the Gulf and LA in particular. Have you seen any of it yet Bub?
