So, I might be moving to FL when I get back from this deployment. Whats the wheeling like there? I'm assuming theres alotta sand lol. The Tampa area is where I would probably be going.

What part of FL?

BC you got few Nation Forest through out the state and then you got the place in the pan handle that a lot of ppl like.

So just take your pick......I've only been to Ocala and about to leave in about 45mins to head to Ocala but its pretty much sand a kinda hilly.

Yeah I figured it would be alotta sand. I love wheeling in sand. I was about to buy full skids and rockrails but I think I'm gonna wait because if I end up moving there I deff wont be needing them in the sand lol. I'm not sure where I would be yet but more than likely the Tampa area.

Chances are you will find as much mud as sand on the trails near Tampa. There are some places up in Ocala that offer a fair amount of challenge. There are few State forests between Tampa and Ocala that have trail systems. If you do make the move post up when you are settled in and I can arrange a ride to show you some of the local trail systems

Unless you're driving on the beach, it's all mud and deep water. You'll be constantly getting hi-centered on deep ruts and hidden stumps... you need those skids stat..... and insect repellant.

If you want a lot of fun go to Osceola NF. Its between Jacksonville and Lake City. Just don't do it alone because there are holes in some of the trails that are 6' deep. They are full of water and look like any other 6" wholes! Besides water, mud, and sand there are felled logs to play over.

Withlacooche Forest. State road 50, about 45 mins north. Some fine trails. Skids aren't too needed there, if you know the KJ's undercarraige well.
