Orlando here.
Do most of my wheeling in Ocala NF.
Easy in, easy out. Plenty of other stuff in/around the park to do.
Lots of sand and scrubland, but its still a real playground.
Its also not too far from Hardrock... to which I'm dying to go...

Welcome. This site is going to be one of your best resources for the kj. I've gone to ONF and couldn't find any trails that were any more difficult than a dirt road. I usually have been cruising some WMA's for my wheeling fun

Know of any good spots? Mine is stock, but I haven't found too much besides deep mud pits that it can't handle.

Osceola forest has some nearly impassable mud holes. It is very wet and can be challenging, oh and full of swamp critters. We ride ATV's in Ocala forest, and you are right. Not much of a challenge at all.

I have gone in Goethe in Levy County, it's a WMA. I like some of the trails in there, but though they are a bit muddier and ruttier than ocala, they're still pretty easy

there's 5a/scottsmoor on the central east coast. But, it can get...crowded. Also if you have a firearm, best too bring it along. Drunks can get..testicle-y over there. but, if you go in a group you'll be just fine. Another area that's muddied an hold more water than most like, however. Don't bother me, though.

I am in the East Orlando/Oviedo area. I have only had my KJ a couple months, since my XJ died, and have slowly started the never-ending path of tweaking. I have not done any serious off-roading since moving here from Michigan a couple years back, mostly just two-tracking camping and at Scout camps for the boys. That being said, I would totally be down for some meet ups to get to know the Jeep community in the area.
