After much debate with Costco about 245's, I settled for the 235's, only cause I decided I order the Revo's vs. the 693's. I probably shouldn't have gone into that much debt, but who the hell cares, they're REVO'S!!!

All the other places i called quoted me (and this is for FOUR) $575-600 out the door. Through costco, i'm getting them for $127.99/tire, which adds to be right at $512 plus tax, significantly undercutting all the shops around here who "price matched" other competitors. Plus, I get the lifetime balancing and rotations for FREE, and the 50K warranty thats on the tires. For all that, I'll settle with the 235's for now. They're reason for not letting me go to 245's is "it will throw your speedometer off more then 3%, thus we can't do it".

They should have them in by Thursday or Friday, but i'd be willing to bet Friday with Thanksgiving being Thursday.

Plus, to make things better, Gas finally went below $2/gal today, so now I can afford to do stuff like BURN THE CRAPYEARS TO HELL!!!!...LOL. :D

Just have them recalibrate it. If they don't have the computer to do it, then have the dealer do it. I went from 215/75/16's to 225/75/16's and had the speedo re-calibrated. I then went from 225/75's to 245/70's and the difference was only 1 RPM. Would you believe at 65 mph, my speedo was off by 4 mph? I had it re-calibrated for the correct RPM's, and all is well now. If the 235's are different from the size you are currently running, then have it re-calibrated.

That was a no-excuse reason for them to say they can't do it because of the odometer. You are the first person I've seen on here say they got that excuse from Costco.

Well, the Revo's should be awesome for you and you still get great off-road abilities with them even at 235 size.

I thought it was a bunch of bull too, but I got tired of fightin with a brick wall. And I agree, even with the 235's, atleast i'm getting a hell of a tire.

But given this, I will probably not be doing business with them again in the future when it comes to tires. I'll go up to Sam's Club and get some BFG's or somethin.

There's not much difference between 235's and 245's Check this out.

http://www.bridgestonetire.com/tireselector/dpp/sizespecs.asp?passproductid=1055

The 235's are 29" and the 245's are 29.6" for height and for width, the 235's are 9.5" and the 245's are 9.5". RPM's are 718 and 704 respectivley.

So, for 1/2" (1/4" in overall height), I don't think it's an issue. Good luck with the Revo's, you're gonna love them!

You'll definetly enjoy the revo's
Took my brand new tires offroad this past weekend and compared to the stock tires they are outstanding. I took on hills, rocks, mud, water, tree trunks, and all you can find on a trail and I must say... they're excellent.
