Tire question????

Have a 2005 with OEM tires. Found that even in the rain they spin. Want to replace them with the best a/t's that will grip in the rain and the snow with some off-road capability. What do you recomend? Thank you for your help.

Thank's for the reply. I've also researched and found that the Bridgestone revos are the highest rated for handling and snow traction. Just wanted to get some experiential knowledge via you. This site rocks for real info! Don't want to invest without that comfortable feeling, you know? Your input is greatly appreciated! Thanks,

I just had Revo's put on my Jeep yesterday. I love them! I didn't want to go through another winter in useless Goodyear tires that came with it.

I just got them put on Friday. Other than the mods I WANT, this is and probably be the best investment I will ever make. First, they feel smooth and ride great. I feel a distinct grip that wasn't there with the GY SR-A's. Biggest difference was in stopping. I sense that the distance is shorter or that I come to a halt alot faster than before. Remember, the foot is still doing it the old way. 32,000 miles worth of muscle memory. Now it's so much better.

Don't forget that you can't put a price on wet/snow weather handling. Safety is important and that's why I went with these instead of cool MTr's or BF G's. I have a Renegade after all. I've wheeled with other members that have the Revos and they were just as good as anything out there in our part of the country.

I was gonna try and hold out on the SRAs thru the winter. Unfortunately I caught my first flat the other day (small nail) and now it looks like another tire has a slow leak.... Guess I'm goin for the Revo's.... Now, where to get em and what size will fit stock rims/no lift?

i had 245/70R16 fitted pre lift no rubbing on my 2004

these are Dueller D694 AT's same as the Revo

BF Goodrich AT's are great on and off- road, good grip in any condition, quit and they look the part, oh and no need to change them for the next 80.000 Miles or so.

I also have 245/70/16's. Looks P.H.A.T!!! (For those not familiar with the aforementioned colloquialism, it means Pretty Hot And Tempting)

Firestone Destination A/T 245/70-16. I could not be happier. They perform as well as the Revos on the trail as well. Lots cheaper too!

Sorry to ask this question but I want to be sure. Did a few of you say that you are running 245/70R-16's without a lift? :shock:

So no problems with rubbing or fitting to the OEM rims?? Is there any advantage to this size over the 225/75/16? Lots of questions. I know, but you guys have never steered me wrong.

I have a little rub in the back at full stuff on the trail, otherwise no rub at all, even at full lock

245/70's fit no problem without a lift. I had no issues wheeling them either.

The 245/70's are the same diameter (29.6 vs 29.5) as the 225/75's, but are an inch wider (9.8 vs. 8.

I am now running the Firestone Destination ATs 245 70s and they have been great so far. Already put over 1000 miles on them in a week and a half, everything from old logging roads to now snow and ice. They are quiet, ride great and have done a great job of cleaning themselves in the mud. For me they are as good as the REVOs but a lot better priced. Of course it seems that if you dont run the REVOs there must be something wrong with you!
OK now to see what that will stir up! :lol:

I think it must be the turkey talking now trying to cause trouble!!
