so i was thinking of going 245-75-16 after my lift. what tire style would be best for mostly road driving but also want good offroad
I'd agree with Tom. I had a set of the Puma tread design back when I first put on my Daystar lift. But then they got too small... LOL. The Wardens should wear pretty good also. They are a BFG AT / Grabber AT2 clone.

tom and LTT i admit i dont know jack about these tires. but how do they compare to say duratracs? or grabber at2's? i see they are 1/2 the price but whats your honest opinion
I loved the set that I had on my KJ before. They rode great, and had excellent traction in rain, snow, and ICE. Based on the wear/miles that I had when I sold them, they were going to last about 40-50k miles before the tread was gone.

is it worth the $$ for the KEDGE GRIP? and are these new tires or retreads?
The Kedge Grip is just crushed walnut shells. It does make the tires wear a little faster. But it also increases traction, so I am told. However, as I said, the ones I had did not have KEdge, and they had excellent traction.
They are re-treads. But are very good quality tires. Google search reviews of them. I have yet to see a poor review on their tires.
