I noticed this size is listed as "closeout" on tirerack.com, which sounds like they won't be stocking them anymore. Anyone know if there's a redesign coming, or if this size is being dropped by Goodyear? Maybe tirerack just decided not to stock them.

I believe the old style MTRs are going away for the new MTR with Kevlar. At least this is what I was told for the 245/75 when I was trying to find some. Went with the Kevlar version and love them. I had three sets of the old version and really liked them in all conditions. No complaints so far with the Kevlar version except the price was a bit higher. Maybe just that size is going away since Jeep doesn't use them anymore from the factory.

Sorry, I wasn't clear. I'm talking about the Kevlars. I changed the subject line to add that. Haven't seen the old ones around for a long time. My old-style ones are just about done. Debating between the new ones and the DuraTracs.

Goodyear's website still shows it as an available size. But it also says "May not be available within 48 hours. Call retailer to check stock."

Maybe it's so they can replace them with black lettering. :D

It would be surprising if they got rid of that style tire in that size. Isn't that also a very popular tire size on various pickup trucks? I know it is the stock size on my Dad's '00 Chevy Silverado 1500. I have seen plenty of stock-ish looking CJ/YJ/TJ's and XJ's running that size tire too. Seems like that would be a poor business move on their part.

Ah, glad they're not canceling it.
