I painted mine flat black, and it has held up pretty well so far. (7 months in) Prep time and effort is key.....I removed the wheels, did a thorough scrub with a de greaser detergent. Then a stiff nylon brush with a little T.S.P, rinsed then a scuff with fine steel wool, rinsed again and dried them in the sun the rest of the afternoon. Next was taping off, primer then the flat black. I first tried Rustoleum wheel paint in flat, but it really seemed very" satiny" So ......right wrong or in between I ended up using Krylon flat black which had the dead flat look I wanted and it turned out great. After a few trails if I had a nick touch up was snap just sprayed it over...the ultra flat drys quick and blends well with the rest of the wheel. Hopefully my experience gives you some food for thought, I'm very happy with the look.
Now I just need to figure out how to get some pics up on here
Cheers!!!
