Anytime you lift a vehicle that is already "top-heavy" (like the Liberty or a SWB Land Rover) you have the potential to make the vehicle "tippy". By adding the wheel spacers, you broaden the stance and make it less so. I found the vehicle was significantly more stable in turns and off-camber angles after I added the spacers.

The downside to the spacers? The sides of the vehicle now NEVER stay clean...

handling and ride increased 100 times over stock with the lift and spacers... handles like it's on rails... and 0 body roll.

I have the exact question as well. I'm not planning on lifting but only adding 245/70/16 BFG AT tires. Will the spacers rub during on-road/highway driving? I really never do any off-roading.

Yes they will rub with 245/70 mall terrains and no lift.

so anyone think its a bad idea to get them without the spacers Ill be doing some off roading but mostly on road. I also dont mind a bit of rub if its not gonna damage anything, like if I went off roading I dont want to pop a flare off.

thanks for the pic 2006 kj that looks awsome. still not sure if im going to stick with the stock wheels. Know if anyone ever paint renegade wheels black?
