I've got some 15x8's with 5.5" backspacing that I want to put on my KJ. I did a test fit, and although the brakes are close to the wheels, they clear. Anyone see any problems with runnig 15x8's? I currently have 16x7's with 6" of backspacing.

Thanks guys.

They are goingt to stick out 1.5" more than your current setup. I think you might be okay though, maybe someone will chime in to be sure. If not either you or I will search the forum to find the answer

And, welcome to lost Be sure to check out the midwest forum if you havnt already.

Actually, that's just a half inch difference in backspacing. The 15x8's look good on my KJ, their just a bit close to the brakes (but nothing is touching).

Thanks for the welcome too. I'm a moderator over at www.jeepkj.com. :D

Right, but the rim is 1" wider so it is going to stick out that much more.

Thats cool that you have poked your head in over here. It looks like there wont be any problem with the wheel itself, what size tire are you planning on running?
