Looking at these as a possible used purchase. Anyone have issues or know if these will fit or cause problems?

jeep liberty's lug nut pattern is 5 on 4.5. the 15" wheel might not fit because of the brake calipers but i hear that these will fit: http://www.4wheelparts.com/4wp/products ... S&man=TECH
the 31" tires fit with some rubbing (see tire chart) http://www.lostjeeps.com/forum/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?t=958

Some 15" wheels will fit, while others will not. This is due to the brake clearance issues. Hopefully someone has tried that specific wheel and can chime in. You will need a 5 on 4.5 lug pattern as stated above.

The backspacing can vary. My 8" rims are 5.25 backspacing and work great. They are the stock Rubicon rims.

Yeah, 8" rims w/ 4 1/2" backspacing would stick out 2" on each side more than stock. That's not necessarily a bad thing, but might be a bit extreme, and make it impossible to stuff your tires. The Rubicon rims are perfect...I wish I could afford to get a set...with MTRs...

Sounds like a pretty good deal. Some day I'm going to decide to go for it and I bet there won't be any great deals around. :(

The Rubis are 16", though, right? I'm seriously considering getting a set of 15" steel rims. You save enough on the 15" tires vs. 16" to almost pay for the rims!

I think I've got a line on 5 Rubicon wheels with new GOODYEAR WRANGLER MT/R LT 245/75 R16 tires on them. Will these fit? I guess I should be lifted since they are 31" tires? Thanks.

Boxhead, lift and pound the pinch weld over in order to fit.

Guys/Gals, if you are looking for Rubicon wheels and tires, check out the For Sale -wheels&tires section of http://www.colorado4x4.org.

Wranglers are a dime a dozen in Colorado and people are always upgrading their Wranglers so you can find some great deals. Check the For Sale (wheels and tires) section at least once per day.

IF you find some wheels and tires on the website and live too far away to inspect before buying, I'd be willing to drive to the seller's house and inspect them (take pics) for you, as long as it is within a reasonable distance (anything in the metro Denver area).

Stock rubi rims are 5.25 backspacing?

I'm getting more confused as I read these posts on 8" rims and what backspacing works best.

I'm looking for best fit for tires I already own: BFG 245/75x16. I get SLIGHT rubbing when fully stuffed in rear, on the inside. So if pushed outward from the center of the Jeep, that's ok. But not so much that front or rear starts to rub on the fender flare's inside lips.

So if 8" rim, what backspacing will work?

Yes, the Rubi rims are 8" wide and 5.25" backspacing. They work well.
