Goodyear Wrangler Silent Armor 235/75/16

2006 Jeep Liberty Limited CRD
Stock Wheels
Stock Height

Fit perfectly one size larger than stock. Fill out entire wheel well but do not rub even when locked. Look better than stock size/tread

Purchased at sears Auto Center Chapel Hill Ohio $788.00 (before $80.00 Mail In Rebate)
rated at 50k
makes slightly more noise than stock tread/tire but only noticeable when cornering at speed mostly. Have not been off road with them yet so I cannot say if they will rub anything when fully articulated.

Tire make:BF Goodrich Rugged Terrain T/A

Survey:http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=BFGoodrich&tireModel=Rugged+Terrain+T%2FA

Wheel:MOAB

Tires size:245/75/16

Suspension:Lifted (OME/Bilsteen/4.5 JBA/R iso+FR3/8"top plate)

First impression: Very smooth ride, TireRack class them as HW tire and I disagree with them, they perform pretty well in off road duty too, not noisy at all on road should class them as a good A/T tire but the smoothness of the rubber may suggest a poor life expectation. Since I'm probably the first one on this forum to try them my opinion is just that "My opinion" but I sincerely believe they can do a better job than the Goodyear Silent Armor or the Kuhmo KL61 in off road condition. (Both excellent all weather tire snowflake rated).

Wrangler Silent Armor 245/65R17

2007 KJ Limited
Stock wheels, no lift, 60K kms

Meanwhile no rubbing issues (stock size tires were 235/65R17). Purchased as all-season tires because they are the only tires carry snowflake symbol (severe weather conditions rating) and fit KJ with 17" rims :(. Noise not a problem, IMO. They are heavier then stock tires so my MPG decreased (before was 11L/100km, now 13L/100km). Very good in the deep snow but don't have grip as dedicated winter tires in icy conditions.

KJ: 2002 Sport
Tires: Cooper STT 245/75/R16
Wheels: Stock steel rims
Lift: RRO Rock father I 2.5
Rubbing:Up front cut the bumper, pounded the pinch weld, now its all clear. Rear rubs at full stuff, gonna have to trim the plastic.
Comments: Love the stance with this wheel/tire combo. The tires don't make alotta noise going down the road. However I kinda wish that I would have got something better for off road. These are more of an AT. For someones DD they would be fine if you only do light wheeling on the weekends.

Goodyear Duratracs in 31X10.5R15 in load rating C

ON

15X7 4" backspace - Cragar soft 8's

Lifted 2.75" over stock in front and 2.5" in the rear.

Pinch weld has to be completely removed and a portion of the air darn needs to be removed.
An hour or two or work at most and you'll be ready to run without a problem.

For future reference to anyone looking at this, NEVER a good idea to completely remove the pinch weld, its part of the overall structure , bend over only

KJ: 2003 gasser
Tires: 235/85/16 Hankook RF10 ATM Load E; purchased at Talon Tire (Canada) for $124 each
Wheels: stock KJ wheels
Lift: OME HD springs front and rear. Ironman front struts, OME rear shocks. Terraflex extended bumps all around. All bought from JBA.
Claimed lift 1.5". Actual, 3" over stock (if it was 19" off the showroom floor) but this is with the addition of the 3 ring clevis and 1/4" strut top plate in the front and total of three upper isolators in the rear.

Other: Used a heat gun the re-form the wheel well liner just below the fog light 'door' and the inner part of the liner right near the sway bar. Need a bfh to clearance the unibody at the rear side of the front tires when turned all the way out. Pounded pinch weld also.
