I hope I've posted in the right section. I've read past posts and want to know if there are any fit issues with the stock rubicon wheels on a lifted (2.5" franken lifted) Liberty. I have seen others with these wheels and am interested in their experiences.

I just got those and Goodyear Wrangler MTR's 245/75/16.

You will have to do a little surgery on the wheel well of the fronts. That pinch weld in the rear of the front wheel well will need to be bent flat. SIMPLE.

You may have a little rubbing on the front of the wheel well at fulllock. Heat the plastic and push it forward. SIMPLE.

You should put the wheels and tires on first and drive a few miles to get an idea of where all of the rubbing takes place so you can make your adjustments when you play doctor.

This is a small mod. Look for the write-up by AdamisAdam.

- Heatgun
- Mini sledge hammer
- Dremmel - a few cutting wheels - those things break easy!!!
- Rust proofing - spray can of black primer _ I used Krylon's Rust Tough

- Leather gloves
- Eye protection
- Newspapers
- Masking tape - holds the plastic flap, that you cut, out of the way as you work on the hammering
- Some type of rounded edge tool to press on the melted plastic to smooth it out and to help solder/weld the plastic together (if you plan to keep the flap.
- 6-pack of your favorite beverage
- Good tunes
- a picture of your favorite hottie (male or female) on the wall.

you can see pics on my web site. It was sooo easy that my only regret was not doing is sooner. Honestly, I did more damage by NOT doing it sooner (by knocking parts loose when rubbing off road) than by cutting it up.

Just do it, as they say.

I have the same setup you were asking about and no "issues" fitting them. Just the normal rubbing in the front of the wheel well and on the pinch weld while offroading. I took care of both spots in about a half hour. Here are some pics...

So the spare MTR fits on the rear mount with any issues or does it hit the bumper or prevent the window from opening?

No issues with the spare MTR at all.

The greater offset of the wheel actually gives the glass MORE clearance than the stock wheel.
