Has anyone here tried these out yet? I've heard a few people that have had very good luck with them and say the easily get 40-45k out of them. I think this may be my next tire just wanted to get some feedback |

In OK, I would consider running them in spring or fall, maybe even winter. They are ideal for short commutes and around town driving at slow speeds. I would not run them in the summer or on the highway. They will not sell retreads in many southern states, including AZ. This is because they cannot handle the heat. They will fail if you run them hard and get them hot. If you drive like grandma (probably not as you have a crotch rocket) then you could get them for the economy. I would pass, especially in an SUV which has a higher roll over risk. When retreads fail, the tread comes off the bead and they blow out (just like the firestone/explorer tires did). But then again, I have not looked into retread technology lately, perhaps it has improved. |

I posted something about this site a while ago. We run 9.00X20 on our Dump truck that has a GCVW of over 20,000 and have never had a retread Fail. I believe that modern technology has improved the way they chose carcases and have improved the bond between the tread and carcass. I would definitely consider them viable Off road, however I have no experience with them above 60MPH, as the Dump truck has a governor. check out this website http://high-tec-retreading.com/ K |

Those retreads are a nice tire for the money, how good they are off road depends on the carcass that is used. Pretty quiet and well mannered on the road. A good mid rated tire across the board. |

I have run my retreads over 38,000 miles over every type of terrain and air pressure with no ill effects. I am deeply pleased with this tire and will buy again, the technology has come a looooong way from when we ran them in the late 60s. |

other than high-tec, i can't find any places online offering retreads. i've found contact info for a bunch of places, but i can't seem to find sites for individual companies/shops. anybody know of any? |

I don't know of any other and from what I hear High-Tec is the ONLY way to go. They use high quality carcasses and I've heard that you can request certain ones. I'll be trying out a set when these run out, probably by the end of the summer. |
