I was wondering if taking a stock liberty with 235/70/r16's to 245/70/16's would actually make any "visual" difference. :?: My fiance needs new tires but isn't lifting it yet but wants to stick the biggest tires she can fit and from what I read the 245/70's are all the bigger you can go.

Those are 245/75's on Moabs, which is not what a 245/70 is going to look like on a stock wheel.

Does anyone have a comparison shot of stock vs 245/70's on a stock rim?

I also ran mine with 245/75 mtrs on the stock rims for about three months before i finally lifted it. I had to trim the front bottom edge of the bumper and beat down the pinch weld. Other than a little rub on the sway bar at full lock, no issue! You will still have to do these things most likely even when you lift it. Hope this helps your decision. I would say the 245/75 is the biggest you can go with the stock suspension. Just my opinion though.

So a 245/75 is a maybe? It's unlikely this Jeep will really see any "offroading" anytime soon, I know it's a sad thing but between the TJ and the atv, she really doesn't care to beat her "baby"

Well I finally got our tires put on. I went with the general at2's and love them so far. I stayed with the 235/70r16 and was kinda glad cause at full cut, it's around a half inch from hitting and didn't want her complaining about it.
