Here is the tire I went with. General Grabber AT2 in 255/70 on the stock rims.
And here is how it looks on my lifted Liberty.
I went with the 255 because it was a touch shorter than the 245/75. I wanted the least effect on my gear ratio. My speedometer is still accurate to within 2mph.
I got the tires for $87 each at Tire Rack. So far I'm very pleased. They are quiet and work well off road. Very minimal rubbing. Trust me, I tried.
i'm looking at these tires. i just installed a daystar lift in my CRD and want to get tires. do you have any complaints at all. i know the price is right and they are rated at 50k miles so they should last a while. where do you tires rub and how bad is it off road
