i am looking to get these tires and would like some feed back. i was reading the reviews on tire rack and not to many good things are coming from the liberty guys on there! i live in north central pa and get a good amount of snow. are they good for year round use and all types of Terrain wet/dry/dirt/mud/snow?

That's hard to believe. This is probably the most populer AT tire among the LOST crowd. These are great, especially if you are concernced about snow and wet performance. That's what I run when I don't have the MTRs mounted up.

well i didn't have time to read all reviews on tire rack. sorry if i was miss informed.I read about 3 or 4 liberty reviews and all of them were complaining about tread wear and sound. i am not too concerned about sound but would like to get a good amount of tread life. the big question is will they last with everyday use and still have good traction?
thanks

Yep. I have over 30,000 miles on mine and expect to hit the 50,000 mile warranty easily. I still have half the tread left so I'll get close to 60,000 miles! I'll be taking the MTRs off in favor of the Revos for the winter months. Great traction for everday use and offroad alike. This is the best all round AT tire available.

Jeepers

I saw the same reviews and check some other places and decided against them. Not that I dont think they are good but I found a great tire for a lot less with very good reviews. I was all for the Revo's until I compared prices.

See what you can find on Cooper Discoverer ATR's (4 tires, mounting, balancing, lifetime fix a flat and rotation - $400 out the door)

I just put on the Bridgestone Dueler A/T Revos size P255/70R16 and LOVE them! The ride is greatly improved and I have not had any rubbing issues yet with the inner fender wheel wells (but I suspect if I offroad this CRD than I will have some rubbing). I used to have the older style Bridgestone Duelers on my 1989 Chevy Pickup Z-71 before I sold it. They had 102,000 miles on them before I had to replace them - but they were an LT rated tire with even more tread depth than the P rated ones I just bought. The key is that you must keep the tire pressures up a bit above the vehicle recommended (I run at 38-40 psi cold) and you MUST rotate every 5000 miles - NO EXCEPTIONS.

I've had good luck with the Bridgestones in the past and am giving them a try on my new CRD. There is a $75 mail in rebate going on right now through October 15 if you have a set of 4 mounted and installed by an authorized tire or service shop.

I traded in my 4 factory tires at 588 miles (kept the spare) for a $300 credit and was out the door installed for $260. After the rebate I'll be at $185 for the upgrade. If you are worried about rubbing and do trail riding, stick with the P245/70R16 size as this is nearly the same diameter as the factory P225/75R16 but only 0.9 inches wider. I use my rig for mainly highway use and construction site inspections in the mud, so I'm only off road for a very short time.

:-)r

I snapped a couple before and after pics on Friday. Old tires are the Badyear Wrangler SR-A 235/70/R16. New ones are Bridgestone Dueller A/T Revo 245/70/R16.

Hope the pics show :D

I have a set of five Revo 245s on order now. Roller scates would probably have be better than the OEM Wrangers.. :P

Based on all the positive things said about the Revos here I'll probably order five more for the 01 Excursion I just bought. There's a little more room for something bigger that 265s on that beasty.

Discount Tire says the largest for a stock 2005 is....255/70 (R16). I have some on right now and they fit without a lift. But, they do rub a tiny bit on the plastic wheelwell when fully turned. It is very light. 245's might be the best w/o rubbing. I will be getting a small lift soon, tho.

i would think that if you rub when turning the wheels on flat land, you would rub even more when off roading. I think i will stick with the 245/70's

Now i just need to find a place that sells them cheap... errrr :x

If you get a rim with a smaller backspacing, 4 inch vs. the stock 4.5 which makes the inside of the rim stick out away from the fenderwells just a shade more, I would think you could easily get the 265's without any rubbing at all. That's my plan. I'm going with 16x8 American Racing Black Teflon Chambers with the REVOs. Please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. I haven't bought anything yet, so you may save me a headache.

Try the size calculator at 1010tires.com . You can input your stock size and then add 4 other sizes for comparison. You can get a feel for the differences in tire/wheel size and how they differ from your stock set.
