Just wanted to post a quick note on the new Silent Armors. I've had them on for about 2000 miles now, and am thrilled. I went with 255/70/16s on my lifted CRD. In the past, on other vehicles, I've had BFG ATs, Goodyear Wrangler AT/S, and Revos (in that order).

The new SAs have equally good wet traction as the BFGs, and significantly better mud traction; they self-clean much more.

The new SAs are much quieter than the old AT/S design, and again have significantly better self-cleaning in mud.

The new SAs are as quiet as my last set of revos, as good in the rain, and better in the mud.

I haven't run them in snow yet, but look forward to it. So far, I'm very pleased. The primary advantage of the SAs seems to be their improved self-cleaning ability in mud, as compared to most of the all-terrain tires out there. Not quite an MT, but better than an AT.

Good to hear for future reference. Those are what I wanted originally but there wasnt enough info out there (or people who posted about them) and I couldnt find any deals on price. I think the best price I found was $700+ and I couldnt swing that at the time.

Thanks for the info, post again once you get to test them in the snow!

Thank you for this post!

I'll probably be getting these after my lift.
