Just wondering if anyone on here is running a set of General Grabber A/T's. If so how are you likin them. For me they would be used mostly on-road ( dry road as well as wet rainy or snowy roads..) off-road it'll be general trails, sand and stuff, something that will hold it's own in the mud would be good, because mud is inevitable at some point when wheeling... |

If you're looking for a strong AT tire, look elsewhere ![]() This is just my opinion of course... And yes, I used to own them... |

I have them and love them. I used them for mild off roading, snow, ice and they have been up to every challenge that I have thrown at them so far. Great tires for the money! |

I have the General Grabber AT2 tires on mine. They do great in everything except gooey mud. In the kind of mud we have around here, they turn to slicks very quickly. I have been in several situations where I hit some soft ground and had to really get the tires to spinning to throw the mud off to get traction and keep moving. |

I'm in for some listening. Hows the highway speed squeal on those tyres? |

i have them and i love them! they have gotten me through everything that i needed to get through. axcept a REALLY soupy, DEEP mud pit, which i didnt expect them to be very good in there anwyays. but other than mud "pits" they are awesome and would definitely get them again. highway they arent too loud. you can definitely notice some hum around town driving, but its not rough or bumpy or anything, like mud tires when u can feel the treads rolling across the surface. |

a good all around tire thats not rough like an M/T is the BFG A/T KO's. I run the yokohama geolander A/T-S tires and love them, have been in some mud and they have done well. Havent got stuck yet. |

thats what i was hopping to hear.. I had read some good reviews of them being used on other trucks which is nice, but they wheren't our KJ's.. as for the deep mud, I'm not much for the messy muck... I was thinking also about the firestone M/T's but not sure how well they'd hold up on a rig driven at least 75 miles a day.. |

I'd worry less about your tires holding up and more about the gas mileage |

Ya I'm sure I'll lose a few mpg's but I'm just can't see myself riding low in a car it's just not me. I learned a long time ago that what makes me happy to drive isn't usually the best at mpg's, considering my lats two trucks consisted of a ram with a 4.7 ( 15 mpg's ) an a chevy with a 350 ( 13 mpg's ) so far I'm good with my 17-19 mpg's with no engine mods.. |

I went from MTR's to the Grabbers about a week ago and I really like them. I have run Dueler AT's and BFG AT's & MT's and MTR's and these are my favorite so far for an all around tire. I haven't had them offroad yet, but I expect them to do really well from the reviews I have read. It sure is nice having My KJ ride smooth and quiet again ![]() |
