If she will be using the Revos around town it'll be a bit like wearing really nice hiking boots to the mall.
Revos do just about everything well.

Hi, I'm considering the Revos, but share the Lib with my Wife. How are the Revos for around town and highway driving. If i'm gonna talk my wife into new tires they have to be suitible for her too. We have a baby due Nov 21st and I want a good handling tire for rain and snow. we have the stockers on right now which I think are awful with just a mist falling..Are there any other good street performance but decent off road tires.. I was going to post this in the tires section but I thought i would get a better response here.Sorry. Thanks!! |

Agreed. Revos are the way to go. They are a good AT tire for off-road, but at the same time they have some on-road technologies built in that will make them safer in wet weather and snow. With 2,000 miles on the odometer I put some Revos on my wife's Libby and she has loved them ever since on and off road. |

I have seen the revos off road and they do very well. I don't have any thoughts for on road, but you could probably check out the geolanders |

I've had my Revo's for over a year now, both on and off road. They are a great tire. You will probably want something better than stock if she is driving around with your new baby. BTW, Good luck with the baby. Also, my B-Day is also the 21st, so if your child shows up as expected (they're usually late), and is a boy, might I suggest the name Tim

hi,thanks for your opinions.Not to beat a dead horse,, but upgrading from a 235/70/16 to a 245/70/16 will fit without any rubbing with out a lift right? I think I would upgrade to that size if I could confirm that.Also does going to that size with any brand tire fall under that? Are there any performance issues with going up one size? thanks,My wifes having contraction sitting in traffic rightnow.......oh boy!!!! |

They fit just fine without a lift. All brands of that size should be the same. The only thing I would suggest is having the speedometer recalibrated after you swap the tires (tire shop might be able to do it for you, if not the dealer can). If I remember correctly, the size 245/70/16 is not listed, so they have to set the RPM's for the tires (245/70/16 Revo's are 704). Now, get off the boards and get your wife to the hospital!!!

Hi, Thanks!! I'm not sure if you guys have heard of Town Fair tire. I bought tires from them a couple years basck for My Ford SHO. Theyare great in there and the service can't be beat price wise. Free Wheel mounting,balancing,and front wheel alignment if you buy 2 or more tires. Lifetime Free Road Hazard for the life of the tire. they also do price matching/beating with competitors and will match prices for tires on any discount site online. They just add 25 dollars to what ever the price is on line. that would be what you would pay for in shipping alone. Anybody in new england should check them out when buying tires. I think thier standard price for a 245/70/16 is 134 a tire.. Sullivan tire want 160

Or dont get it recalibrated...you will get more miles out of your warrenty that way...
