niiiiiice....dude those look bad arse!!! have any more pics...maybe from 3/4 view or the side?? lovin it!!! Nice looking treads too...and I assume being in FL, siping is a moot point for your style driving. Do you get any rubbing? I love how they stick out past the flairs, mean! Thanks you! Well, we do get a lot of rain but that is something I can live with. From the sound of the reviews they handle "fair" on wet streets. I'll just keep the speed way down on wet roads and give it hell in the mud!

-Ryan I don't know yet. I just put them on this AM. Tomorrow I hope to get out and hit some ruff terrain to check for any rubbing. None so far. I figure reverse while hitting the gas and bouncing around should do it if anything will. Terry |

Thanks for the side view. Perfect. Look bad stupid by the way. Love it and I am jealous as ll get out. My FrankieII has yet to be shipped I guess, so my new tires and wheels are collecting dust in my garage.

Terry Those do look sweet, as my signature states I'm running Rover's A/T's and since I'm more of a dailey driver. But since the Jeep came with Good Year Fortera, I like the Dunlopes more then the street Fortera tires. |

hey fulltimer looks great, question- your sig says its an 05 limited... did yours come with the tpms set-up? did you retain it an if so how is it working with the soft 8's? I've thought of getting the soft 8's for my 06 limited but I don't wanna go away from my tpms.. -Jake |

-Jake Yes I used the ones from the stock rims and they work just fine. I was going to get new ones but when I ordered the tires, around 3:30PM, the guy said be here in the morning at 10:00! I was expecting a few days at least. Terry |

What is the milage they claim to be good for. The AT's are listed at 60,000 miles, but since getting them I have even had freinds drive my KJ and the before and after they ask "What did you do to your Jeep it rides and handles so much better then before"  . Granted I've only been off road once but since I'm just starting I have time to advance.

Nice choice ! I just put in an order for some Dunlop Radial Rover R/T s 245 75 16 10 ply (30.6" diam) One of the reasons I went for these was the low weight compared to the other MT options. See the comparisons on tirerack.com. Also... the R/T is a MT / AT hybrid... just what I wanted.. something in between. The BFG MT and AT are both 50 lbs (245 75 16). The dunlop R/T and the MT are less than 43 lbs each. What is the rule of thumb ?... something like... for every pound of rotating mass, it is equivalent to 10 lbs in the car during acceleration... so saving 7 x 4 x 10 = 280 lbs ...should have an effect on city mileage compared to other MTs. A leason I learned years ago, from my 1970 Buick GS muscle car to my 1974 1/2 260Z 2+2 to even a 1980 Toyota Celica GT that was actually more fun to drive then the Z. I gained a lot more favors from the ladys by putting them behind the wheel then trying to impress them with my own driving skills. Showing respect will return a lot more then trying to impress.

I just bought a KJ a few weeks ago (my first 4X4) and have been lurking here since I got it. Name is WingnutDBQ and have been riding touring bikes for 30 years, but I can see I just found a new toy and new hobby. I am considering new wheels and tires, and this looked like a good place to jump in. I am looking at a 2 - 2 1/2" lift kit, 245/75/R16's and wheels. From the info I gathered so far, I am thinking that a 4" - 4.5" backspacing is what I want. Is this true? Or do I want to go with 5"? Also, I know that 15" rims are a no-go with aluminum or alloy wheels, but what about 16" rims such as some of the ones Pro Comp makes. I like the combination of black and polished edges. Will the cast wheels give me problems with the brake calipers? Or should I stick with steel wheels. Thanks for any feedback you can give me, and looking forward to future conversations. Will be posting some pics soon. |

Fulltimer, your KJ looks great! I was looking at the Cragar Soft 8's and see they are avilable in both 4 and 5" backspacing. WHich are you running? Anyone else who wants to respond, go for it as well. |
