what if someone was willing to pound, cut, weld & fabricate a "wee bit" (thats what I told my wife) to there wheel wells/fenders, add some tire spacers. What do you think we could possiby shove under a stock liberty. and how pissed do you think I can make my wife |

You can fit 245/70's under a stick KJ with the stock rims.Add spacers and you will need to down size the tires to stock sizes. |

now what about after modification. i know a guy who fit 255/70/17 on a commander with no lift, he told me he went to town with the mini slede and sawsall. im sure we can find som extra room in there for some more meat. |

also lets take into account that this is going to be my wifes car ( i showed her some pictures of lifted libertys and she said she didn't want it tall, but she wanted bigger tires) so its not going to be trailed heavy at all, maybe a few outing on the beach. 'm currently saving up for a xj project in the very very near future. |

I would suggest you look at some pictures of the inner fender removed or with the fenders off and see how it looks and then see where you can cut that will not weaken the whole front assembly. KJs are about like XJs you can cut out some but not a whole lot |
