My new CRD KJ Ltd rides on 235/65 x 17 Goodyear S4 rubber, this size seems really poor in choice for replacements, I really wanted a set of bridgestone revo's but they don't do,what does anyone else run on 17 for a bit more grip offroad?

I'm running 245/65R17 Pirelli Scorpion A/Ts on my '03 Freedom. They are 1/2" larger than stock tires and have much better grip.

Firestone makes the Destination A/T in a 235/65/17 but they are out of stock everywhere and won't be in for another month.

I replaced the 17" GY's on my 03 with Yokohama's when the firestone destinations went out of stock. I couldn't wait another month for new tires. I've been really impressed with the tire both on and off road. It hasn't snowed yet, but in both light and heavy rain, the tire sticks like glue. I got the 245/65/17 geolander AT+II's. The only rubbing I have so far was when the rear tire stuffed. There's a picture of it on page 3 of my cardomain page if it helps. The tread pattern looks (to me) very similar to the Bridgestone Revo's.

Any one have pics :D I won't be needing tires for another year, which will work out good, Because I need a Frankenlift 1st!!! By that time all the tire co's should have something & maybe the prices will drop a bit.

I'm running the Firestone Destinatin AT's in a 245/65R17 on the 2005 17X7.5 limited rims. They're almost as smooth and quiet as my Michelin Cross Terrains were, and have much more traction. The Libby handles better than it did with the 245/70R16's too. They look much more aggressive too. If you have a newer KJ, you may need to add the half inch lift from Rusty's up front, and an extra set of spring isolators in the rear.
