| Post subject: | Soft 8's with Baja Claw Tires |
Good morning ya'll, Alright I have a question for you... I found a wheel and tire package that includes (4) Soft 8's 15x8 with 4" BS on some Mickey Thompson Baja Claw tires that are 31x10.50-15. I was looking at the tire guide but could not figure out this tire size with the chart. Closest thing I got was 31.8 10.5's that requires at least a 2.5 inch lift. Anyone care to share their knowledge on this one... Here is the pic for reference:

That set up (size wise) is what I and a few others here run. It is just ever so slightly bigger (depending on the tire) than the 245/75/16 size a lot of folks run. You will need at minimum 2" of lift (2.5" would be much more realistic) but you will be pounding the pinch weld and cutting wheel well liner/fender flare either way, especially with a mud tire. |

Thanks for your response... As far as suspension goes, can I run Rusty's 2.5" Coil Spring Suspension kit and add Rusty's 2" Poly Strut Spaces to that kit? Will that help me with all the rubbing issues and what not? I am new to all this so I need to clear some things up... Pounding the pinch weld? I have heard alot about this but don't know exactly what it is... Are there any aftermarket fender flares that I can purchase for the KJ in order not to have to cut my fender flare and liner? |

Two hockey pucks drilled through the center and bolted down to the spring perch in the rear works great and for the front Teraflex part # 0019301200 were about 17 bucks each My Moabs with 5 inches of backspacing has the wheel/tire right at the edge of the fenderwell, 4 inches will have it on out and hitting more |

Fulltimer, Not sure if this is directional or not although they look like it... I'm new to the game so I'm not sure... I like your set up though... I definitely do... |
