I'm pretty new to Jeep, and have the export model 07 Liberty.

DownUnder it's refered to as the Cherokee.
My standard size tyres are 235/65R/17. (sorry about the metric!!)

Are 17 inch rims standard?

I ask this because I notice that all over this forum, everyone appears to have 16 inch :?:

Depending on the model/option package they came with either a 16" or 17" rim. Quite a few who lift theirs go to a 15" for the wider selection of tires, but there are only a couple of rims in that size that fit on the KJ due to the size of the brake calipers. I've got an '03 Sport that came stock with 215/85R16 size tires, currently running 245/75s with a 2 1/2" (approx) lift.

16 inch were the standard with 17 inch the option depending on what package you got. And tire size ranged from 215-75 -85 x16 to like mine had 235-70x16

I think a lot of the later year Limited came with the 17's. I know mine did! 8) BTW, I went up to Fuzion XTi 245/65/17's tires when I changed tires (29.5"). Still no lift so that's about all that would fit under it with no rub.

05 and up gasser Limited came with 17" rims. The CRD Limiteds came with 16" rims. As far as I know, the 05+ Limited gasser 17"ers were the only stock 17" rims. All others are 16".
