In researching tires to replace my stockers, Jason Thompson shared this link with me:

http://ssl.delti.com/cgi-bin/rshop.pl?d ... 135&Achse=

I think the tire looks great but has anyone else noticed that some pictures show a 'blocked' sidewall and others showed a 'winged' (best I could come up with to describe it) sidewall. All the pictures I can find of the tire on a vehicle have the winged sidewall. I only see the blocked sidewall in the advertised pictures of the tire (not mounted on a vehicle) . Anyone know what the story is here?

Scott

You can get a larger photo from Tirerack - I'm not sure I understand the blocked/winged reference

Thanks for the reply ATXKJ.

The link you gave shows what I am calling the 'winged' sidewall.

This link shows what I am calling the 'blocked' sidewall:

I think the sidewall design changed some, Tire Racks is the latest ...I think, get them soon, as these are the ones I have been looking at even if they are directional!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay - I see the difference - however I have no idea why - or what it would affect.

Probably wouldn't make a difference... although the 'blocks' look a little thicker (width away from sidewall).
I just like the block look better.
