LT225/75/16 Good-Year Wrangler MUD TERRAIN tires

Are they any good?

worth buying?

i can get a set for all the wheels for 250

Will they fit on a Stock 04 KJ?

I am unaware of such an animal. It does not appear in Goodyears current tire line-up.

If it is the MT/R, they aren't really a mud tire in the classic sense. The MT/R stands for maximum traction/reinforced.

The size you list is right. Got any links or pics?

IIRC, the old Goodyear Mud Terrains were around before the MT/R's...making them like a decade old.

I wouldn't put em on my daily driver at that age.

Now if they are indeed MT/R's, check for dry rot before buying...but $250 if they're in decent shape sounds like a decent deal. Yes, they will fit an unlifted KJ on stock wheels.

I think they made the Wrangle M/T's ( aren't they the H1 tire?) and I thought there was a special Chevy-only version in like a 265/75/16 flavor that they used about a decade ago, too. I may be getting old & forgetful, though.

As far as I know they are the old H1 civilian tire. Here are some 37" military ones on ebay

check the date they were made first before you lay out the cash

Sweet tire...if I wanted to deal with all the rubbing issues of a 265/75-16 I'd rock those for my next set.

Goodyear made 2 styles of the M/T tires,both for the military.

36x12.50x16.5's,bias ply,very good tires mud and rock tires,need a very heavy rig to make full use of them,impossible to balance.

The newer MT's,37x12.50x16.5,radial construction,worthless.Goodyear made this style in many sizes but they did not sell good so they stopped selling the other sizes.

Then the advice to check the date code is probably very good advice at that. I am not actually afraid of aged tires so much as I'd be P.O.'d to pay for "new" tires that were several years old.
