I'm about to order my lift kit, tires and wheels, but I was wondering if I needed a Spare Tire Extension for my General Grabber AT2 P245/75R16s?

Don't know about the GBII's, but I didn't need to do anything for Goodyear MTR's 245x75R16. Window cleared without an issue.

P265/70/17 is what I have on my Liberty Limited. We did have just a little issue when we tried to open and close the flipper window. Just a couple of washers between the mount and the tire on the top two bolts was enough to tilt it outward just ever so slightly and enough to allow complete use of the window. Just a thought if you do get a little rubbing.

Yeah, I would have to agree with other's. My KJ has a RRO extension on it (installed by the original owner) and it is over kill with the BFG AT KO LT255/70R/16 I have on there.

Also, to install 245/75R16 tires onto a 2002 Jeep Liberty (Pre-Lowered, I assume) would I have to knock in the pinch weld without a lift? What about with a 2.5" OME Lift?

ya you will need to punnd the pinch weld w/ a pre-lowered if you do an OME lift you shouldnt have to but I would just bc it only takes 5 min with a hammer

I saw the "How To" on Jeep KJ Country and it entails actually bending the plastic back with a heat gun, bashing in the pinch weld, and then melting the plastic back over the weld and sanding it down. Has anybody here done that or is there another easier, maybe not so time consuming way? (Cosmetics aren't too too high on my priority list as it's pretty much out of site).

I took a dremmel cut the plastic out covering the pinch weld and just bashed the poo out of it.

i took a sharp knife cut the plastic around it and pounded it flat

Just to throw this out there. i ran 225/75R16 AT2 tires on my stock prelowered kj and found that they rubbed the fog access door at full lock when the tires were new. So i would think that a 245/75 tire would require some trimming around the fog access area and pounding the pinch weld. I just put on 235/85r16 firestone MTs with my frankenlift and trimmed the front and pounded the pinch weld. It'd not that hard to do. I did it with the tires still on. If you use an air saw or tin snips it is easy.
